Am I taking my limit \"way ahead, way behind\" theory too far?

I used to be a hardcore limit player but recently switched over. In limit, when we're probably way ahead or way behind, we're supposed to play like a calling station and just call. Raising does us...

Re: 98s.

This is one of the worser folds I've seen. It's almost horrible.

Re: Aces up facing a 3-bet.

I'm cranking this up to 120 and going all in on the turn

I give villian credit for being a solid player.

You realize he beats KJ right?

Re: number of the beast: 3/6 full tilt

You don't need to fill up, you're ahead. How else do you play that hand? I think you played it perfectly.

Re: 3/6: KQ flops TP, turns two pair

I''m guessing you lost the hand to 55 because you posted it. I don't know if I can fold this here also. His turn all in overbet is very suspicious because something like AT, or 55 would probably...

Re: Horrible preflop misclick

You played it right for sure after CO's raise for sure. However, personally I reraise the button right awway in this big pot and hope to get it all in right there.

5/10 NL, HUGE POT, Extracting $ with top set.

I always have trouble playing these hands and extracting value. When I hit my set out of position against a large raiser who I put on a large PP, I always try to lead out and hope they raise over...

Re: AK with ace but board is scary.

I call and pot the river if I'm checked to. Else I call I pretty decent sized river bet.

5/10 NL: Set of Ducks on a scary flop.

Okay, first few orbits here. Did I let an AK escape too cheaply?

Stack sizes: Hero has 1000, Villian covers.

Re: First turn/river bluff at 200NL - thoughts?

I think this play isn't very good. Raise more on the turn as a bluff or check the river for a free showdown.

Re: A9 Top Pair, Out of Position on a Drawy Board

Are you serious? You're going to get run over playing like this. Top pair top kicker, backdoor flush draw and you want to dump it to a min reraise?

Re: Thin Value Bet?: NL $400

I think not betting this is a sin. I'd bet 1/3 to 1/2 of the pot. You have two pairs. Any king should call that after you checked the turn.

Especially with the LAG image. You must bet this.

Results for those of you that care.

SB says he folded AK which boated. Turns out if he would've also called, I would've been in REALLLLLY bad shape. The way it played out I was only in bad shape.

Re: How do you play bottom set on a monotone flop? Huge pot.

How about calling then folding if SB goes over the top? But then again he could also have AK.

Re: How do you play bottom set on a monotone flop? Huge pot.

I'm sorry but I didn't have any reads here. I figured they were normal solid players.

How do you play bottom set on a monotone flop? Huge pot.

This hand turned out well for me but as part of my effort to not be results oriented... I want to learn how I could've played it better.

So here's the hand:

3/6 NL $600 (6-max)

Stack...

(6 max) NL 600. Related but difficult overpair hands for me: KK, JJ

Here's another hand where I had JJ against a solid villian. Stack sizes: Hero $595, Villian: $435.
Blinds: SB $3, BB $6

Hero is in BB with J /images/graemlins/spade.gif, J...

Re: TPTK calldown.

I like the idea of a turn raise. But a flop raise? I'm not so sure about. Can you explain the logic behind it?

Re: Too much heat for bottom set?

What about ending up against 56 and AA, KK or QQ (likely for CO) or 78 and AA (where you're way ahead)?

Anyone still having this disconnect problem? (Full Tilt)

Every once in awhile, my Fulltilt tables would just disconnect and freeze and I'll have to deal myself in. This is annoying especially when you're in the middle of a good hand. Anyway, it started...
