Re: 400NL: AQo on SB, call the river?

I agree with tinker about reraising preflop. I think the river is a fold. Donk takes this line with KQ,KJ, QJ, KT, AK and a set if he's tricky. Seems like too many hands are beating you.

I figure you are going for C/R all in on turn. Because villain is unknown, I do not like it, and would lead the turn, especially to charge him if he is drawing.

If he's lag he could have A3, JT or Ax. But I don't like the turn 3-bet. I'm looking to play a medium sized pot since most river cards are going to make us sick. I'd call the...

3/6 bottom set

Good 3/6 game online. I've been at the table about 50 hands and have a good image so far. UTG in the hand has ~$350, SB has $500 and I cover both of them. UTG limps a lot preflop and always seem to...

Re: I feel like people are taking advantage of my continuation bets...

Don't always continuation bets heads-up. Often when you check the flop, you'll get a free card. Try it sometime. And check your strong hands too sometimes out of position. I find that when an...

At what level of play should one consider getting a mentor for his/her play?

[/ QUOTE ]

I think the obvious answer to this is as soon as they start playing poker.

You played poker instead of playing math - great fold

KK - standard flop against short stack

Villain bought in for $60, 1/2 blinds. I have K/images/graemlins/diamond.gif K/images/graemlins/spade.gif in MP.

Preflop: villain raises to $4, I reraise to $15, 4 folds, villain calls.

Flop...

Re: AK on 3 broadway flop

I make it 15 preflop, but not a big deal. Looks like two pair to me. I think a set plays it slower. But it doesn't matter, you are still drawing dead. I'd fold.

Re: $400 - SB flopped 2 pair

If you're going to induce a bluff, you have to call. The river doesn't change anything. I like your flop/turn line, but follow through with the plan.

Thanks for the comments guys. So, as played, it's between check/call lead turn and check/raise flop right? If he calls a pot-sized check/raise on the flop, how do we handle a missed turn. What about...

Re: How badly did I play this AA?

Calling the flop and folding the turn is retarded. Fold or push against the raise on the flop. I would push.

OK not getting any help here.

Let's say, just for fun, that he calls with any Ace, any 2 face, any pair.

Is the push right or neutral then?

Re: what is good block bet size?

1/3-1/4 is okay in HUGE pots. I just bet around 1/2 the pot in mid-sized pots. It makes it hard to distinguish betweeen blockers, value bets, and bluffs.

Re: KK of wusses on button??

I would normally check the flop. Or bet $7. As played, turn bet is small enough that I think he's got a Q, a draw enough times. I call and reevaluate the river.
