Re: help me

Firstly preflop is as standard as it gets not raising here is a serious mistake, so I wouldnt listen to rockboys advice.

On the flop I probably just fold this without a decent read otherwise you...

Re: Learning...

Money doesnt make you happier nor is it a way of measuring skill in any particular field.

If I had the option of playing poker 15 hours a week for $50k a year playing 1-2 tables online or live or...

Re: T3o Awkwardly played 2nd pair

Another reason I'd be more inclined to check fold on this board is that it has 2 cards in the playing zone. This means that there is likely to be hands like QJ or some kind of gutshot that players...

Re: How to play middle pair hands?

Why are you checking the flop?

You only go for a checkraise if there is a very loose player who nearly always autobets when checked to.

Bet out if you get raised then you can choose when to...

Re: i openlimp on the button with Axo

Why arent you check/folding this flop you have nothing against a passive player.

Mixing a few limps into your preflop play is fine but following up with dumb postflop play like this isnt.

The...

Re: T3o Awkwardly played 2nd pair

I check/fold this 4 way its just too weak, sure you might be best but the pot is just too small.

If I felt they were fairly tight and my image was tight then I'd bet out hoping to take it down.

Re: couple of paired board hands

1st hand I just dont think he is betting a worse hand on the river, most of these type of weak/tight players will check behind here with a worse hand.

I probably should have bet the turn as the...

Re: As a broke \"pro\" which game would you play...? (some stats)

You cant play 60 hours a week as a pro.

When you are working and playing poker it is easy to put in long hours because you are mentally fresh and have the motivation (i gotta get better at poker...

Re: real men dont play hit or miss...

55 is too weak to expect it to win unimproved very often 4 handed

even most draws are going to have 2 overcards against you most times

Re: T9s on button facing three limpers and a raiser

MLHE assumes the limpers are decent players so your T9s is likely a weak holding.

It really depends on the lineup, mostly I'd call here but if there are agros in the blinds or someone who likes to...

Re: real men dont play hit or miss...

I'm not a big fan of calling a raise with this hand, maybe with another limper but its just not that great, you gotta make up a lot of ground when you make a set.

Also some chance you are 3bet...

Re: i dont know what im doing, do you?

Why would he call a checkraise in a tiny unraised pot with a gutshot?

The only hands I'd call with would be an overcard + gutshot and of course any sane person would raise that preflop so he...

Re: i dont know what im doing, do you?

He limps with the weak Ace so people think that he doesnt have an ace.

A TAG will automatically know that a limp doesnt mean an Ace, it usually means hey I've got a weak hand that I wanna test you...

Re: i dont know what im doing, do you?

Not raising preflop is fine but going for a checkraise and then calling a river bet is pretty bad. This board is pretty scary so betting out is more effective.

I really dont see what he is calling...

Re: Cap this turn with TP + nut flush draw?

Capping is spewing unless this guy is a LAG who would bet TP like this which I doubt.

Your draw isnt that good you likely have only 9 outs and that is if he has a set or a straight.

A straight...

Re: HUSH under new moderation - input appreciated!

If you dont know how to play HU or 3handed by the time you get to 10/20 you shouldnt be at that limit.

I'm not saying you need to be an expert at it but if you are left at a table with a donator...

Re: HUSH under new moderation - input appreciated!

Dont be silly, peoples play is mainly based on limits.

By the time people get to mid limits they have some idea of how to play 3 handed and HU.

Devoting a forum for it is a waste of time, so...

You and schneids arent playing 3/6 you both also have significant poker experience.

There is also a big difference between devoting 15 hours to poker and playing 15 hours.
