When do you go all in deep stacked?

I'm just trying to wrap my head around this move, and I keep seeing it brought up here and when I play deep stacked. I'll try to keep this as simple as possible:

When do you go all in with deep...

Re: SSNL Theory Question: Controlling pot size?

[ QUOTE ]
Let's say you've got AQo in the CO. A uber-tight player raises 3xbb from UTG. From playing with him, you know that this likely means AA-JJ or AK. You're the only caller. The flop comes...

$11: Good value bet on the end?

I think I made a good value bet on the river, despite the possibility of the straight. What do you think? Could I have bet more, based on the betting so far?

Re: Party NL 11: How likely will he fold to rr all-in?

So call, nail him if TP hits, or play poker otherwise?

Re: Trying to get most from big hands

Your raise in hand 1 sucks. Either make a real raise, or just flat call and be tricky, but don't make a minraise.

Party NL 11: How likely will he fold to rr all-in?

Villan made a bunch of ridiculous raises at 25/50 level (half to entire stack, 500 to 1000). Weak Aces, perhaps?

Anyway, fast-forward to 75/150. Villan is still being aggressive PF but only...

Trying to get most from big hands

These two hands were early in a SnG, and you guys seem better at extracting value with deep(ish) stacks, so I'm asking over here:

Re: All in before the flop. Didn\'t need to be.

I ran into something similar last week (my KK lost to TT), and I think the answer is that to only way to avoid going out like this is to have the larger stack to begin with. (In my particular case,...

Home Game hand

I'm in a 12-week poker league, where you get a score for your finish each week (1 = finished first; 2 = finished second, etc. so lowest score is best), and you can use your top 8 scores. There's no...

Re: Flush draw

Phil,

Does the fact that UTG has you outstacked (almost) 3 to 1 enter into why you seem to think you shouldn't have called in the first place?

Re: Calling all-in with strong draws?

If all 15 outs are good (as they are here), you're a 54% favorite to win the hand.

Semi-bluff questions

I'm having trouble playing/sniffing out semi-bluffs. I'll split this out a few ways:

Re: TP + Flush Draw.....Overplaying my hand?

What do all of you think of just pushing on the flop? The pot is almost 1/2 of Hero's stack, so any bet is going to make you pot committed anyway if just called, and even more so if raised (as we...

Re: How bad would it be to fold every hand on levels 1-3 in a 10+1?

Phil Van Sexton was recommending raising to 100-125 PF for this very reason. You'll either pick up the blinds (an improvement over folding) or have a very good chance of winning a good sized pot. ...

Re: Number of the beast on the flop, pocket Jacks in hand.

The consensus seems to be raise 300. I went a little too aggressively and raised 400, but the idea was basically to kick out the overcards. UTG calls.

UTG checks

What now?
