The results--pretty much anti-climactic

The short-stacked all-in turned over A /images/graemlins/spade.gif10 /images/graemlins/spade.gif which at least left my J /images/graemlins/club.gif6 /images/graemlins/club.gif as live cards. I...

In the money call. Wildly self-delusional? Or shrewdly reasoned?

Ultimately, this hand had no great bearing on the action, but as I decided to play it I was wondering about others' thoughts on the matter.

It's the PokerStars 25K rebuy, we're in the money but a...

Re: Please critique this hand!!!

Look, I don't want to get into a pissing match with you, but if you can shake off your emotional reaction to the hand, I think you can learn something from it.

Put yourself in Shakes' position. ...

Re: Please critique this hand!!!

You never ever made a bet that made it correct for Shakes to fold, much less that actually encouraged him to exit the premises.

Sometimes the trapper is trapped.

And just what was it that you...

Re: T-T hand with 13 left in the tourney.....

I like a call here, with the intent to bet hard if undercards come on the flop. If overs rear their ugly faces, then proceed with extreme caution, 15 MPH speed limit.

Raising is problematical...

Bursting My Own Bubble--I need to plug this leak!

Last night in the Stars rebuy: we're nearing the money, I'm playing a newly-minted stack that's above average, but not by a lot, maybe 62K, blinds are, I believe, 1500/3000, and I have a couple of...

Re: Party Super Thursday: Tournament cancelled/disappeared ??

My money was refunded as soon as I checked the cashier window. Don't know what happened, but at least it wasn't costly. In fact, I may count this as a cash. /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

T4315 at second break. LAG bigstack called my all-in unimproved AK with an unimproved AQ!! Doubled up. Thanks LAG.

Re: Party $1M guaranteed

Oh Yu Tee.

Got too frisky wih a pair of 10s on a J-high flop.

Note to self. Stop-and-go no good against AA.

Re: Party $1M guaranteed

T2575 at 1st break. Early on had KK and 1 caller, flop came 4K4 thank you very much--but couldn't scare up any post-flop action.

Re: Party $1M guaranteed

I'm in. d9090 on Table 107.

Tyler, had just the opposite situation. Started at Table 170 (of 173.) never played a hand there.

Good luck all.

Re: Official Partypoker.com Super Thursday thread

Out 214th.

Went all-in pre-flop for about 1600 from the BB against a 3xBB raise and I caller, who both had me outstacked, one by a considerable amount. Original raiser folded, Mr. Big Stacks...

Re: Official Partypoker.com Super Thursday thread

1545 1st break.

Had AA twice, couldn't scare up much action. How come every time I run into AA, I'm all in. /images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Re: Should I have called?

Given the pot odds you were getting, and that you were last to act, I would say yes, this was callable.

Granted, it's probably a flop-a-set-or-get-the-hell-out situation (barring some relative...

Re: can you call this?

Che,

Interesting problem, and some well-thought-out replies.

Here's my take, for what it's worth.

Even I would be hesitant to call here, and you know what that takes. I think that KJ has...

Hearty congratulations!

PP $100 SnG--Chasing the Dragon...

Re: PokerStars Sunday $250K guaranteed

I'm in. 945 at 1st break. Lost half my stack early when my AA got cracked, then doubled back to about even with J10 in the SB that flopped top pair. Have to do better 2nd hour.

Good luck to all...
