Re: Are SnG\'s the worst way to play with variance?

Re: How to play AK off on the final table?

[ QUOTE ]
No, what I am saying is you shouldn't have raised from 9K to 30K. You should have raised from 9K all in. This cancels his position advantage and probably cuts down on your volatility for...

all in and all out

got cheeky and tried moving in with 77 at a table full of calling stations. didnt work so well, as I got called by TT and KT, and a T flopped.

Re: 1st break

down to a measly 1k chips after my QQ got sucked out on by A2 on a 9443 board. some people will call all the way down with anything.

Re: KK Post Flop Play

call, then curse him out for calling your raises with 88/A2 or laugh after he shows down JJ

Re: party 50+5s, been running into a lot of limped AKs.....

yeah this happens a lot... they get drained when you hit two pair or a set on them though, as they think they've. I usually try not show much strength on the flop with a paired weak ace -- I want...

Re: Playing 10 8s in low levels

There are worse things you could do in poker than play this hand in late position with the understanding that to make it profitable, you're going to have to take down a few flops where you completely...

Re: for the multitablers

I also have 2 notched... they came within a few days of each other too. Apparently I've sucked at poker since though.

Re: all in on a semi-bluff?

I dont like it... a pot sized bet out of the SB on a board with two the flush is most likely top pair with iffy kicker looking to protect. He's going to call you down, especially in a $5 game.

Re: How do you play small pairs late in the tourney in EP? Need advic

I'd fold 66 here without hesitation. You're out of position, your hand is not that good, and you have just enough chips to wait for a better situation. Your best case scenario if you push and are...

Re: AK early on for those who are having trouble

[ QUOTE ]
Ok, first of all, this monkey that's min-raising you has lost half of his stack in level one. His min-raise does not mean he has aces 90% of the time. You have to push and race him with...

Re: AK early on for those who are having trouble

I'd put him all in preflop and save myself the postflop decision. You only have to be 40% against his range of hands to make the pot odds correct, and I think you're doing at least that well. Raptor...

Re: Why you sometimes should push PF with aces (low content)

an opponent who raises to 16-17x BB isnt folding either way. Easy push, but he still calls and wins.

Re: Please define the \"2+2 method\" for SNG\'s I keep hearing about

I think the 2+2 strategy is the party 10+1 formula...

everyone has their own adjustments they've made to fit their style and level, but the basics are pretty much the same.

Re: Overaggressive at 6xBB?

I'd fold this for sure... the blinds tend to assume a button push is a marginal hand and make their decisions based on this assumption. I dont like proving them right. You're in good shape here,...

Re: 50+5 Hourly rates

I beat the 55s for 21%... I'm not the greatest player, I make my fair share of mistakes, but I can run over the weaker 55 tables without much trouble and do fine on the tougher ones. I'd think it'd...

Re: Party down?

there's huge waits on all the cash game tables... I managed to get into a $100 PL cash game that filled up in about 10 seconds. Damn I need my sng fix.
