Re: a very shady move
I'm not disagreeing here about Brett. He sounds like a douchebag when it comes to poker. However, with that said, acting out of turn can get awfully confusing. At my home games, as soon as Player...

Table Input Please
Well, the bug's just about biting me again to build a table. I built one last summer and it's worked just fine. But "fine" about covers it, and I'd like to shoot for something in the "nice" range...

Re: kickback for the host
Depends on the house. I host a game with an open bar, but you have to bring your own beer, cuz I can't stand the stuff. But we usually provide some snack type food and booze. I just want everyone...

Re: POKER TABLE PLANS
I used it on my table (first one built). It's been passable, but not spectacular. When I build another one, I'll definitely go to the effort of building my own rail.

Re: Awkward situation
I agree that people shouldn't be playing other's hands. Either muck Paul's hand or give the guy a minute to go roll his windows up. But aside from that, if this happened at my house, Paul would win...

Re: Throwing Money Away - Intentionally Losing
I host a game and end up to the good at most of them too. The only difference is there's no way I'm dumping chips. We play for small stakes and nobody wins or loses anything that's going to hurt...

Re: Home game rules question
Wow, that's the most ridiculous thing I've heard of in a while. The only time I've even heard of punishing anyone at all for acting out of turn is when they're obviously doing it as an angle shoot...

Re: Betting Structure Question
I'm curious to hear your answers on this one. Next week, I'm having a SHOE game. For starters (this is my first time and I want to make it simple), I'm playing everything with fixed limits. ...

Re: Which size cards do you prefer.
I use the magnum index myself. It helps out a lot when the flop is at one end of the table and you're sitting at the other. However, the true beauty of the magnum index is that the corners still...

Re: Is this guy angle shooting...?
How lame. Do people still play in his game when he so obviously adjusts the rules to suit him at the time? I would think you'd lose players in a hurry that way.

Re: muck after the river rules?
People muck on the river all the time. You only have to show a) if you're the one that threw a bet out and nobody wants to show first or b) to win a hand.

Re: or....
No, unfortunately for me, it's for the Detroit Red Wings. Although still a fan, right now I'm incredibly bitter about the whole thing regardless of the team.

It wouldn't do any good. Kids make you lose your mind so he probably would've lost his stack post-fatherhood anyway. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Re: What to do in this situation?
I'm not absolutely sure on this, but I think the official rule is that you leave the burn card burned, pick the misdealt river up, shuffle the stub, then readeal the river at the appropriate time. ...

Don't make assumptions. My company has temporarily lost their domain three times in the past year and every time it has been the fault of our ISP.
