Re: Freerolls

Maybe I'm missing something, but all those tournaments listed at freerollz.com don't exist: I just logged in Party Poker, PokerHost and Pacific and couldn't find any of the mentioned tourneys. I know...

Re: Getting a bigger monitor?

The Dell is an amazing monitor. You can get the 2001 or the 2005 which is a cinema display (1680x1050).

If you can wait a day or two, you can find deals on a regular basis to get one of those for...

Re: What\'s the bubble?

Thanks a lot! One more: what's ROI?

PS: is there a FAQ somewhere so I stop bothering everyone with those newbie questions?

What\'s the bubble?

Sorry, probably a dumb question: what's a bubble, or playing "on the bubble"?

Re: Dealer mistake: OK to go on with the hand?

Thanks, I'll know next time!

Are robertsrules the generally accepted standard rules, in any Vegas Casino?

Re: Dealer mistake: OK to go on with the hand?

I am not sure exactly how she proceeded to deal the flop, but I remember she only showed the first card.

So:

1) She burnt one card.
2) She started to deal the flop, showing only one card,...

Dealer mistake: OK to go on with the hand?

I was in a $1-2 limit hold'em game at the Bicycle (California).

I get dealt J/images/graemlins/spade.gifT/images/graemlins/spade.gif and limp in. The dealer proceed to show the first flop card (a...

Re: Probability of flopping 1 card flush draw?

You're adding the probability that the 3 of them are diamonds 3 times:

P(1st and 2nd cards are diamonds, 3rd is or is not a diamond)+
P(2nd & 3rd cards are diamonds, 3rd is or is not a diamond)+...

Re: Poker vacation: Vegas or LA??

Again, I meant around the Casinos. In LA, if you want to have fun, you need to go to West Hollywood, that's a 1/2hr drive to/from the Bike/Commerce when there's no traffic. In Vegas, you are drenched...

That won't last. I don't care how good the game is, 15 BB/100 is not sustainable.

So how does $15/hr at a $1-3 spread game translates into 15BB/100? Does that mean on...

Re: smallest limits at Bicycle and Commerce?

I'm not sure... what do you guys mean when you say a game "blows" or a game is a "good game"? The $1-3 is SO easy to beat... I make an average $15/hr over there (after about 30hrs) , which is the...

Re: Poker vacation: Vegas or LA??

I mean right around where the casinos are, there is nothing to do. It sucks, it's gray, there's gray freeways, big gray buildings, huge publicity signs. Not a great vacation.

BTW I went to the...

Thanks everybody for your answers and opinions. My experience of Hold'em is limited but I'd rather make sure I can beat the $1-2 game before I can move on.

I've been beating the $1-3 (spread)...

Ideally I'd love...

I've never entered Commerce or Bicycle (I'm sure I will soon) but there is really NOTHING to do over there, it's like an industrial area. If you have ANY intention to do something different than...
