Re: Draws Galore

you don't think there's a good chance villan is f.o.s. here and is making a move (maybe with a draw), against what he might view as a steal attempt? i think a bet on the turn here is basically a...

Re: Draws Galore

heads-up i'd fire again on the turn hoping to take it down (and a ton of outs if not). after the check, i'd just call the river bet. the range of hands he could have here is pretty high, depending on...

Re: QTs Spewing?

you had position on him, so i'd think that's all the control you need. once the ace flops and he bets into you, i'm calling. he's either beating you or bluffing; you're either charging yourself more...

Re: AK: opponent bets 3rd diamond

i'd raise and fold to a three-bet. i see this as a bluff or semibluff a lot of the time. raising is better than calling, since you can fold to a three-bet and also charge him if he's drawing with a...

Re: Online Advice

1. i don't worry about scouting tables. i'll look for a full one, sit down and go from there. you didn't specify what limit, but table selection is more important the higher you get.

2. i'll...

Re: Forgot to send in PA state tax papers!!!!

yep, send them in. shouldn't be a big deal since they owe you money, not the other way around.

Re: KK HU OOP, call down or fold?

option #1: fold. 4 to a straight on the board against a decent but not overly agressive player who's now raising. KK = no good.

option #2: call down. you've got some outs against a two-pair hand...

Re: Facing a turn reraise with TPTK

...calls and calls a blank on the river. he could be jamming a pair + a draw here, so i'd want to see a showdown.

Re: Is the flop the right time to play for overcalls?

i understand. i just don't think that unless sb's been overplaying hands that you're good here 2% of the time, given the turn action.

Re: playing vs a tricky player

i'd check the river and see what the action is.if it's bet, call, i'd fold. if it's bet, fold, i'd call. other than that i'd play it the same.

Re: Is the flop the right time to play for overcalls?

even at 21-1, i think you can save a bet on the river and fold here, unless sb's been getting out of hand.

Re: Defending -- ATo on the button

follow through with a river bet. i don't see why you'd put anyone on a better hand here.

Re: Mid set

why the hate? looks solid - you got at least one bet in on each street without getting taken for a ride.

both of these look reasonable given your table descriptions.

Re: set of tens - huge pot - play goot???

i still like betting out. you've got two other players between you and CO. bet, call, call, raise, three-bet is how i'd hope it would go. and plenty of players would cap that flop with a flush draw...

Re: set of tens - huge pot - play goot???

yep, you'd feel like a douche if it got checked through. bet and hope to three-bet.

Re: Take their money now or wait for c/r turn?

raise the flop. there's no guarantee you'll get bet into on the turn, so make them pay now. plus, you'll be charging a flush draw as much as possible.

and raise preflop.

Re: Sorry if this is standard....

looks good. i might have checked the turn to see what developed, but betting and folding to a raise is probably the better line. not much else to do on the river; if you lose to pocket 10's or AA, oh...

the more i think about it...

the more i don't like this line. if he has a hand he'll play with you with, betting the flop is the better line.

if he's got junk and is just taking a stab at it on the turn, your raise should...

Re: Slowplay

I'd wait until the river to raise. I'm surprised you didn't lose him on the turn.
