Re: Hmm River Decision...
You have to bet this flop. I wouldn't try a check-raise here simply because the board is pretty scary and the preflop raiser might not bet because of it. And giving away a free card with a low...

Re: Anyone else hate PokerStars ring games?
The games are tighter than Party, that's for sure. But players are nearly as bad postflop. From what I've seen, it's still an extremely passive game. And I have always thought Poker Stars has the...

I don't raise preflop.
I bet the flop and fold to the raise.

Re: Ready to move up?
I say move up. At .5/1, the money is kind of insignificant if you're looking at the amount you're making per hour. At 1/2, the money starts to become a lot more significant because it's easy to...

Re: TJs - turn decision
I don't like the 3-bet. SB and BB both checked on the flop and you bet out. Now, on the turn, SB bets out, and then BB raises! Clearly this cannot be a good sign for you. I just cold call.

2/4, flopped straight, paired turn, huge pot
First time I have started a thread. Also first time posting in SS. I have been posting in the microlimits for a little while. I wasn't sure what to do on the turn in this hand. The pot was huge...

Re: flop: oesd, turn: set
Tough spot to be in. I just call the turn and hope the board pairs. I might have bet out on the turn and watched to see what happens. That could potentially save you a bet if you wanted to raise...

Re: AJo Turn Decision
I just call the flop raise and call down UI. There aren't many hands that can be 3-bet preflop that you are beating. The way you played it, I fold the turn. The only card that is really going to...

Re: KQ against a rock call or fold the river.
I have no idea what you're doing on the turn. You're most likely beat at this point. Why are you betting out? Calling the flop 3-bet is questionable. Depending on just how rockish the player is,...

Your line looks good to me. I play it the same. Hoping he will fold TT or JJ if you lead out is dreaming though.

Re: Calling suited junk in teh BB
I call Axs regardless. I will call Kxs if there are 3-4 people, depending on the game's looseness and aggression. I don't call anything below Q9s against a raise. In the SB, I complete Kxs...

Re: Finding juicy tables...
35 VPIP is wonderful. I usually stay at any table with a VPIP > 30 or if it is really passive. If a table gets to be around 25/10 or so, I leave.

Cap the river?

Re: Cap the river?
I wouldn't cap the river. None of MP3's play indicates a flush draw to me. Without a paired board, I'd cap the river unless MP3 is really tight.

Re: Is this play with KK ok?
Well played. I play it the same way. I think the most shocking thing about this hand is that your flop raise caused the 3 players after you to fold.

You aren't seeing the showdown enough. This problem will be magnified because of your extreme aggession. Basically, it seems like you are playing your hands really aggressively on the flop and on...

Re: AA-Is This Weak Sauce?
True. But also consider that on the flop, you are MP3 and bet out and the next two players called. So if MP2 had a 3 or a flush draw, it seems like he would have raised it and trapped 3 players for...

Re: AA-Is This Weak Sauce?
Why do you think raising here is stupid? You don't want people with one low diamond hanging around in this pot. Your raise might get them to fold.

Re: AA-Is This Weak Sauce?
I hate this. It's incredibly weak. You have to raise this bet. MP2 probably just hit a queen. Don't be afraid of the 3 diamonds. Chances are that nobody has a flush.

I think you have to bet the river here. Kind of a strange line by the CO. I sincerely doubt many players with JJ or a 9 would try to check-raise the river here. If he was going to check-raise you,...

Re: aces in everyones hand!
Yeah, scary river card, but I would have to call the bet. The call is a lot harder since SB is yet to act and might be going for a check-raise. But, I think you will be good 1:13 times here, so...

Re: TP weak kicker
Preflop is marginal.
The flop play is good. Your raise pushes the others out of the pot, so it accomplished its goal. Why not call down UI from here? The raise is a bad move. Why? You raised...
