Re: stars 2table sng. flopped trips with TK

If you suspect that a flush draw or an overpair will call if you push, why not just make a pot sized bet on the flop and push the turn unless it is a third spade?

$330 WSOP Circuit Events

What is the quality of play at the cheapest circuit event? Do any of the name players participate at the lowest levels? Any idea as to how many players I should expect for next week's $330 circuit...

Re: Stars 55 Turbo Bubble Play

I would push but my opinion should be discounted by the fact that I typically play the $27 turbos at PS and I only play the $60 turbos when I am having a good night...

Which sites allow deposits via U.S. banks?

Ease of Use

What is the easiest site to play with only a credit card as opposed to a bank account? And at the risk of being greedy, does such site offer any initial deposit bonuses?

Thanks.

Re: $55+5 Turbo @ Stars - A8 on Bubble

I agree with Freudian re pushing. I think the last thing I would do is raise 3x or 4x for the reasons you describe.

Re: Preflop Raise Theory

While I haven't read anything relating specifically to sit n gos, I agree with the initial post. At the lowish levels I usually play ($20 - $30), I belive K,10; Q,J; and Q,10 are folding or limping...

Re: Stud 8 Games on the Strip

Thanks for all the advice. I'll check out MGM and maybe Monte Carlo.

Good luck to each of you.

Do any of the casinos on the Strip have a regular Stud 8 game with low stakes ($3/$6 - $5/$10)?

Thanks.

Same with me! Maybe there is some secret that only insiders know. Most unsatisfying. Have you also noticed that half the links at the left lead nowhere?

Re: Why winning players really win.

What do you mean by a winning player? Are you asking about somebody who can beat their friends in small buy-in home games and can beat the low limit games online or about somebody who can make a...

SNG ROI?

Is the ROI calculation for SNGs: total payouts divided by total buy-ins invested? Also, am I correct that a 30% ROI is the target ROI and a sign that it is appropriate to play for higher stakes?

Re: Button: Why raise on the turn if you think you have the best hand?

I would raise on the flop, bet on the turn and check if checked to me on the river. I wouldn't want to give him cheap looks at a possible flush draw and I would like to figure out if he is holding...

Re: Early in tourney (SB Special Scare)...

I would raise to around $240ish on the flop. The turn is tricky but I would bet again and maybe push (because another $240ish or more bet is such a significant percentage of your stack).

I agree...

Re: Gotta be a better way to play this.

Re: Only calling with J,J at $15 or $25 SNGs?

Does the Harrington approach translate apply to an online turbo tournament? If you raise 5 or 6 times and get a caller or callers you are probably beaten if an A flops and there is a decent chance...

Only calling with J,J at $15 or $25 SNGs?

Would you recommend a limping and/or calling small raises strategy with J,J in the early stages of a low limit SNG?

Thanks for your thoughts.

Translating Sit n Go Success to Cash Games

I have been successful at the $15 and $25 NLHE SNGs on PS but I'm getting beat when I try to play low limit NLHE ($.25/$.50 or $.50/$1.00) cash games. What are the most common mistakes made by...
