Re: TP: I bet, he calls. I bet, he calls. I bet, he .. Raises!?

My standard has been to call this, but this happened several times last night and TP went down in flames each time. This week I filter PT for "went to showdown" and see how this usually plays out. ...

Re: 99 Late Position

I like the bet the turn; check the rive advice. What's our line if we get check-raised on the turn by relative unkown here? Is that an easy fold w 3rd pair?

Re: AQo damn.. fold somewhere?

Villain's flop play looks like OESD (76s?)going for overcalls or a set waiting to pop the turn. Once you and SB had two bets in, he knew you'd give him a third.

I'd probably play it the same way...

Re: KQo 3/6 - Wha\' happened?

Like many have said, I'd bet the turn. Too likely for button to be on a draw looking for a free card. In hindsight, it looks like button was on draw and BB may have wanted to cr the turn. Do we...

Re: AKs hand

I don't think button 3bets preflop w A7, A6, A4. At the turn I'm thinking AT-AA. If the river didn't put 4 to a straight on the board, I think I'd reraise. The river opens up too many other...

Re: check fold the turn?

Seems to me there's a pretty wide range of hands villain might 3bet if he likes to isolate and play HU. I think I would call down, but not get my hopes up.

Re: QQ hand - what\'s the best line?

You're in a tough spot. I call the flop raise and then check-fold the turn UI. The thing that seals it for me is having two villains going into the turn.

Re: TPTK in a huge pot, how to protect my hand?

I would have played preflop just the same, but it sure looks like at least one villain has an overpair to me.

On the flop, I'd check, planning to raise one back to me and fold two back to me.

Re: How badly did I misplay KK?

At least one of these guys has gotta have Ax and will call you all the way down to the river. You do not need the call button on this hand.

Re: When to push?

It would be fun to checkraise this turn, but you can't assume he's going to bet for you. I would lead it. Lead or check call the river depending on what he does with turn.

Re: help with 109s...do I raise?

I would raise the turn and bet out a non spade on the river. Having said that, I would have folded rather than cold-callled preflop- -UTG+2 and BB were not givens to call.

Re: Moderately sized pot, 2nd pair with BDFD

Exactly how I would have played it. If it had been one back to me on the flop, I would have called, but needed a J, 9, or /images/graemlins/spade.gif to keep going.

counting outs and thin edges

I have been working on counting outs more carefully, especially on the turn. I'm not sure where to go with this one.

Only on 2nd orbit, but so far, UTG+1 is like 80/30/1. I read more into him...

Re: Overcards make my brain hurt (2 hands)

I was rereading "overcards" in SSH last night. Here's what I get out of it

Hand 1: Board is unco-ordinated enough that villain either hit or did not hit. With a pot that small, turn fold makes...

Re: offtopic: have you heard of anybody that has had their partyskin..

With accounts on more than one party skin, is it alright to use the same neteller account, or should you use difference accounts for different skins?

Re: Help with mid pocket pairs

There are times I might check-call the river, but mostly I play it just like this. I would be tempted to check-call if my read is that UTG+1 is loose enough to be hanging around w overcards just to...

Re: KTs Should I have played this differently?

This is not a spot I would make the cold call preflop. After that I like the way you played. I'd bet/raise the river.

Re: KJo in MP1 - How would you have played this ?

Since UTG+1 posted, I might open raise here about 30% of the time, otherwise fold preflop.

Re: Flush Draw...Enough Equity on Turn to Raise?

[ QUOTE ]

I don't know what the question is... with 4 players involved, you are putting in at least 25% of the money. But you claim to have 21% equity. How are you profiting from a raise?

Re: AJ, bad turn fold?

A fold is fine. You're right that it would be an easy decision HU. Villain's range of hands has to include a flush and straight draws. Getting 8.5:1, acting last on the river, and possibly having...
