Re: Atlantic City Trip Report (09/27-09/30)

Hi Chicago Troy,

My experience is very long wait times at Harrah's, even when I have called ahead. At most they only have two $10-20 games going. I have not been to Resorts, what type of action...

Re: Does Poker Room Seats Affect How Players Play?

Hi Mr. Curious,

I agree with what you say. But, consider does uncomfortable seating make a bad player play worse?

Good Luck

Re: Atlantic City Trip Report (09/27-09/30)

Hi surfinillini,

I did go by myself. The only poker room I know of nearby is at Harrah's in East Chicago, IN (1.5 hour drive). But, the choice of games are not always good, except for Saturdays...

Does Poker Room Seats Affect How Players Play?

I'm curious has anyone thought about if a poker player will play worse or better depending on how comforable the seats are in the poker room. I was thinking it was quite possible for a stuck player...

Atlantic City Trip Report (09/27-09/30)

I took a driving trip from Illinois to New Jersey for the poker tournament at the Taj Mahal. It took me about 14 hours to make the trip. I stayed at the Hampton Inn on the bay side to save some...

Re: Televised poker will never become a major sport

I agree with your statement because poker is not a sport it is a game. There is no physical aspect to poker. Lets face it we have people of all ages playing poker fat, old, young, and fit. But,...

PokerPaul,

I've been through this phase and the way I solved it was by showing my family my daily records that I keep. I use a speadsheet to calculate my daily hours playing poker and limits. ...

Re: Bad (B)eats at the WSOP

Rick,

If they decided to move the WSOP to your casino, you would be probably paying $6 for a cup of coffee and your comp would only pay the tax on your meal. Both the Rio and Harrah's are taking...

Re: a thought on tipping dealers

Pokerbabe,

If everyone tipped like you, and the house was dealing 90 hands an hour, I'd give up playing poker and become a dealer.

Good Luck

I'll count how many steps I have to take up and down the escalators and put it in my trip report when I get back.

Re: a thought on tipping dealers

Ray,

The shuffling machines are for the house to make more money. So, the players should expect a drop in rake, but this is not likely since the casino is trying to increase it's take on the...

On My Way To Vegas

It's that time again, the beginning of the WSOP this week. I booked a room at the Barbary Coast so I could be within walking distance of the Bellagio and Mirage. I'm looking forward to seeing...

Re: Will Dynasty Play A WSOP Event This Time?

Re: Golf Good; Poker Bad; A’s horrible – Vegas Trip Report

Nice report Barry. I'm going to have to try that Mirage 2/5 NL game when I am there in a couple of weeks. That sounds like one of the best games from your trip.

Good Luck

I believe you can make more money on this hand by calling the UTG on the flop. Checked and call on the turn. Bet out on the river because UTG may not bet the river and you would lose a bet. With...
