cubsalwayslose,

Perhaps I was not clear. My statement was basically that just because a person can get themselves into trouble by buying too much house with an ARM does not necessarily mean that...

Re: How much can I afford to pay in rent?

cubsalwayslose,

The house beyond means with ARMs is one reason why the housing market will likely crash but that is not a reason against using one.

Re: The Ford GT

Emon,

Your last statement is the one that is relevant, not the redline. 160K is ferrari land, Ford will lose a lot of money on this car.

MrKilla,

Vette and Viper do not compete here,...

Re: How much can I afford to pay in rent?

dcasper,

Your arguments are naive except for #3.

Here are my arguments for why an ARM is not good right now.

1. Interest rates at a relative low and are likely to increase in the coming...

Re: My day with Arnold (long, pictures)

diebitter,

Absolutely, considering the time of release and the way the concepts were all put in one place, it was a great book and the advice can still be beneficial.

If you get a chance to...

Re: My day with Arnold (long, pictures)

diebitter and Jihad,

The primary issue with the book is that it recommends way too many sets and movements for the non enhanced athlete. This is of course an understandable problem because...

The numbers on that site look wacky, I suspect they are wrong.

Re: Self-Defense, an answer to guns v. knives debate

Ron,

His thinking was first flawed by the implication that knives might do more damage at close range that guns.

After that all I read was "Blah blah axes look cool and I watch a lot of...

[ QUOTE ]
There is so much bad advice (and good) in here that someone should try to sort it out. I volunteer.

[/ QUOTE ]

Actually your advice is terrible.

Re: idea for dealing with bums...lol?

OP,

Such devices that can fire pocket change exist. They are called shotguns. Firing them out of a car window is great fun.

Helpfully,

Re: Incoming call - 999-999-9999

Actually, businesses with a phone system can modify the caller ID strings that get sent so it is not just the VOIP tricks.

I actually had to figure out how to do such a thing on an Avaya system....

Re: lexus is250 vs hoopty

kid,

I'm not doubting what the dealer told you, but the list on a 250 is 30K-ish. Paying 40K+ for a car that lists at 30K-ish is a really bad deal unless you get the gold plated option.

Re: Warning from Party

TStone,

Unlikely, the most common detection would be to examine the list of running processes for known "bad" process names. Next up would be a registry scan for known "bad" keys.

The packet...

Re: lexus is250 vs hoopty

Kid,

The is250 does not cost 40K, not even close.

And you should buy the most expensive car you want, it's your money, piss it away however you like.

Re: Vegas Recommendation for this weekend...

JMP,

If you are playing at around the 2/5NL stakes, Bellagio is a very good place to be. You can rebuy at either $100 -> $300 or $150 -> $350 if I recall correctly.

That is flat out wrong. Please stick to posting about things which you have some clue about.

OP

Why don't you work on getting one girl and keeping her for an extended period of time before you worry about the whole multiple wife thing.

You are (unsurprisingly) approaching this with...
