Re: Results

If you're raising this flop you should be looking to push on a blank.

Re: Notetaking

I think, for the more dynamic players, whats more important is how the opp is playing at this moment and how you've been playing when you encounter the opponent.

Re: AA faces all-in overbet on the flop

I'd fold if you really know nothing about him. But three orbits at a 10-player table and you have no information? Seems like we're playing bad poker. If he's really been that quiet, it makes it an...

Re: Ace with a weakish kicker short handed ( 5-10NL) whats my action?

with no reads I fold. I like to know if he'll slowdown when I call his c-bet. Push is super ugly.

Re: 5/10 NL: Set of Ducks on a scary flop.

Bobbo-

Although the (small) preflop raise from the blinds doesn't appear to be a steal, the OP loses when it is a steal, and both miss the flop and the SB takes it with a continuation bet.

Re: Should I bluff? (Ignore my location, please)

What would you do with an overpair here? How about a set? I thnk you'd be calling here. A raise reeks badly in this spot.

I don't think there's any hand you would raise with here EXCEPT a bluff...

Re: 2/4 NL Stars, Covering the table, Flopped Set, Should I FOLD ???

also.. i hate to sound arrogant but this belongs here (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/postlist.php?Cat=&Board=ssplnlpoker)

Just cause you play the 5/10+ doesn't mean all your posts go to MH

Re: 2/4 NL Stars, Covering the table, Flopped Set, Should I FOLD ???

This can depend on dynamics between CO and pfr - if PFR is likely to have BS here, CO might make this play with an overpair to the board "to shut out overcards".

Button concerns me, though. What's...

Re: JJ in battle of the blinds, 10/20 NL

How far is the villian willing to go against your range of hands here? Would he try to push you off the hand on a semibluff continuation? If he has any conception of hand strength at all, there's not...

Re: Should I Feel Good About This Laydown?

Gotta open up the 3-betting range if you want any action on your big hands, TWP. Not to mention you're giving away EV vs unpaired hands.

Especially if 6h is your game.. Cmon! Its really nice when...

Re: Argument

I mean, what would your normal line be with a flopped monster? I would think you would check/raise here if you really had it.

Re: Queens.

A problem with calling is that it gets you blasted off the best hand on the river by a scare card. I really like to know your image as well as opponent's. Tell me you raise this flop (and preflop)...

Re: Quiz hand

raise. At least enough to put utg all-in. I'd make it 200 more or possibly all-in.

I realize that there is going to be great disagreeement with whatever position I take on this. In a results-oriented way, I know that this was a bad raise.

However, I think the...

Re: Being a LAG creates difficult situations all the time

Take a card off with position if you think you have live outs. In other words, if you think SB will play back with less than the nuts, take a card off. Most players play against LAGs by waiting for a...

Re: I don\'t like my line here (2/4 6-max)

I like check/call, check/raise for this type of LAG. Maybe you'll make less when he has something but if hes the type to make a two barrel bluff, you'll make more on average letting him bluff. I hate...

Re: What to do with TT OOP?

If you hit trips and lead, why do you think hes going away? Seems like hes paying off if you have 99 in this hand. Limit his range when he reraises you preflop. How often has he done this to...

Re: What to do with TT OOP?

ch/fold the flop. Unless he thinks your preflop standards are very loose (you already stated he views you as solid so his reraise deserves some respect), this is an easy check fold.

Help creating folding equity with 200BBs

BB is TAG. 22/7/1.75 AF over 600 hands. Not very tricky, though his preflop standards are a bit wider.

Button is a bit looser. Over 250 hands, he's 46/21. Postflop his aggression lightens up - not...

Re: I think I\'m getting way too LAG

depends 100% on table image and looseness/tightness of opponent. Taking the free card can't be THAT wrong. Button raises won't and shouldn't get much respect so i could see a loose player calling the...
