Re: $22 -- Smelled like an A

[ QUOTE ]
Is this completely insane? Should I be betting this flop?

[/ QUOTE ]

Flop play looks fine.

I'd be inclined to fold the turn.
Reasons:
I don't like the turn push at all.

Re: (33) JJ post flop

[ QUOTE ]
Also, does anyone push this if they had t600? I hate playing flop after a standard raise and get lazy...

[/ QUOTE ]

Preflop yes.

I think your line in the OP is fine. It sucks...

Re: OT: Do you have an unlucky hand?

[ QUOTE ]
I hate J2o with a passion.

[/ QUOTE ]
Me too, I always fold it, and even if I get limped to in the BB and flop a full house, I still lose.

Re: Passing up 7:1 pot odds with KQo

[ QUOTE ]

Well, I mean, if I'm shooting for two pair, then I could call with anything. If fact, I'd rather call here with low suited connectors than with KQo.

You don't think it's siginificant...

Re: Curtains: screw the 10 BB \'rule\'

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]

I've often wondered how the 10 BB rule came to be. I figured there was some sort of mathematical justification. Is that correct? Or, is it just a general reluctance to risk...

Re: Party 33\'s -- Time of day, which do you prefer?

[ QUOTE ]
This has been discussed many times before. It is easier to place rocks/talented players on hand ranges, but it is far more profitable in the long run to play against fish, although it is...

Re: Does ICM take in FE at all?

[ QUOTE ]
Does ICM take in the FE results for whatever decision you choose?

[/ QUOTE ]

Yes, but not explicitly.

ICM models the values of the chips in your stack against those in everyone...

Re: Scuba_Curtains: Calling in the big blind again?

[ QUOTE ]
Am I the only one running this through sngpt?

[/ QUOTE ]

Breakeven point for calling this seems to be: (23%) 22+,A2+,KJo+,K9s+,QJs

With no reads,
I think this is too tight. I...

Re: Don\'t ever think of folding KK pre-flop

[ QUOTE ]
What if villain limps UTG you pop a raise and he reraises big? What range do you put villain on in this case? Usually it's AA or KK and if you're holding two Kings that makes the latter...

Re: ($33) AK on Kxx, 2 reraisers

Yes.
I'd probably bet less on the flop too, bet 170 or so. It's still a big enough bet to discourage all but the most enthusiastic of drawers, and save yourself some chips when you have to fold.

Re: 22s - 99 overpair on flop

[ QUOTE ]
So many limping hands have you crushed. So few hands pay you off. Any call combined with any turn card makes you puke. Any raise has you recognizing the error of your ways and folding or...

Re: $33 - Can I get away from this overpair.

[ QUOTE ]

Ok, there's 125 in the pot and you have 765 behind preflop. You rate to be ahead. There's no need to make this hand complicated.

Re: $33 - Can I get away from this overpair.

I think you have a better chance of stealing/doubling your way to the money then winning this hand.

I think this is a good way of looking at things.

I'm happy to go broke with Queens here.
If you run into AA or KK so be it, at least you havn't waited a whole SNG to do exactly the same thing and finish in 4th or 5th.

That said, I don't play at...
