Party MTT Table Change Problem - Anyone Else?

Ever since the latest release of Party software, I have a recurrent problem:

When my table breaks during an MTT, Party does not automatically open a window at my new table. This happened during a...

Re: Personality Type and Poker?

[ QUOTE ]
Extroverts have little or no grasp of introversion. They assume that company, especially their own, is always welcome. They cannot imagine why someone would need to be alone; indeed, they...

I like Omaha!

Since the search function doesn't seem to work on this forum, I apologize in advance if this post comes across as redundant.

As probably most players, I've focused solely on Hold'Em for quite some...

Re: Party\'s trying to jack me

Not exactly the same as what you are saying, but I had a similar discrepancy once in my own records vs. Party. It turned out I had forgot to tally a rebuy I made at the table in my own records.

Re: Party 20k freeroll ?

Is there any way to directly see an accounting of how many "raked" hands that Party has counted for you in a given day?

The Player's club point tally reflects it indirectly, but playing varying...

Re: The Party rebuy bug

First off, to clarify and summarize this thread with regard to Party Poker . . . you can rebuy at any time your chip count reads <= 1000, even DURING a hand.

So, if you start the hand with 5000,...

Flimsy Top Pair on Flop, and Pot Sized Raise was Called

Party $5 R+A, BB300.

Reads: SB will bet just about any hand if first to act. UTG is a big stack recently moved to this table, nothing more.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is...

Re: In a limit game, does size matter?

I tend to think of this in reverse psychology terms . . . if a guy brings in for way more than a standard buy-in, I first see him as a less than average player desperately looking for some other edge...

Why is it on these message boards?

I've recognized a pattern, similar to the recent posts about "why so much hostility" on these boards.

Generally, many of the respondents who are the rude, flaming, sarcastic type have very few of...

Too Streaky?

This data is over 125 Party SNG's (mostly $20, some $10 & $30).

I was around 25% ROI, learning this format, thought things were fine.

But lately, I have a bad run. Down to 8% ROI.

My best...

Re: His flop check-raise all-in means I\'m beat?

I'd say I'm pretty clear on folding this after the check-raise on the flop.

How about the preflop play - anyone else think this is just a call? Or a bigger raise?

this is an awful flop for 88 against two opponents, and God doesn't necessarily intend for you to win every hand.

Agreed, on the flop I can let this go. But pre-flop,...

I think this type of button raise is overused . . . keep the pot small and see what comes out.

His flop check-raise all-in means I\'m beat?

$5+1 R+A, a long way to go, top 100 pays, we're at 350.

I should have raised a lot more preflop. But now what on the flop - am I compelled to commit a majority of my stack to see it through?

Re: Appropriate AQo aggression, not first to enter?

Not exactly, I begin at T730, raise to 200, leaving me still with 530 chips. The limper is gone and I call the button's smaller stack all-in for 270 more. (now I have...

Appropriate AQo aggression, not first to enter?

At least you're more likely to play the hand in position by raising.

Re: SNG, I can\'t fold trips right?

I'd been raising a lot preflop in the last 10 minutes, with zero action on some real hands like KK and JJ.

This JQ limp in EP is not a standard play for me preflop, but I tried it here for a...

SNG, I can\'t fold trips right?

Table has been fairly passive preflop, a lot of limpers.

CO has played all kinds of hands like Q2o, 34o, A5o, winning some pots with only a high card, a couple with 2 pair, a flush, a straight -...

Push against two opponents approaching the bubble?

These late tourney decisions approaching the bubble always frustrate me. I'm not sure if this was the right move. Top 50 pays, were only at about 80 left.

(For some reason, Bison's converter...

Re: Difference between addiction and trying to be the best?

My sister-in-law, the psychologist, had a similar view about me, mostly because of the number of books I've read and how engrossed I became in poker.

But, the word "addiction" is much over used...

Re: Desire to be the best causing premature burnout? (long)

Variety is the spice of life.

I am in the same place after a couple years of serious poker, all Hold'Em. I'm just starting over with Omaha 8 as a new game.
