Re: Strip Clubs

This list has Austin's Yellow Rose as #37. YR is not even the best club in Austin. I'd give that to Perfect 10.

Re: Would you rather...

Winning lots of bracelets would generate a good bit of cash, plus even though I am not allowed to win the ME, I can still finish well, making some final tables (which is now worth at least $1M) and...

Re: Fastest your table became shorthanded?

I got ITM without winning a hand not too long ago. Two guys busted everyone but me in about 30 hands (UB, so it was level 2 or 3). I had won zero hands and was guaranteed third. Which I duly got. ...

Re: wuts ur longest cash streak..........and my 1st thread....yay!!!!!

Ten cashes in a row while single tabling.

MidAtlantic Poker was giving $10 away a while back (maybe they still do, dunno). The cheapest SnG was $5+$.50, so the $10 wasn't even enough for two. As I...

Re: Cards live till literally touching the Muck?

[ QUOTE ]

You don't. If he had thrown his cards into the muck, and then tried to retrieve them, you still would have lost. Cards can still be played from the muck when they are "easily...

Re: Tough lesson learned re: mucking after showdown in a B&M game

[ QUOTE ]
He stood up, yelled "SHIP IT", tossed his aces on the table and watched helplessly as one of them continued to the other side of the table, up & over the rail, and onto the floor. Dead...

Re: Tough lesson learned re: mucking after showdown in a B&M game

First B&M trip, to Vegas: I mucked when my AJ "lost" to villain's AQ, but had I shown my cards or looked at the board more closely, I would have been happy to chop the pot with a board of A55xK (K on...

Re: Common problem: KK gets donked by an A-high flop

Anytime an A flops and you don't have one in your hand, it's likely bad news (aside from something awesome like AQ5 and you hold QQ, natch).

I don't see why folding KK to a "too tight" player who...

Re: Pocket AA question.

It's just been my (limited) experience that people tend not to jam the pot with TPGK. Usually, when someone comes over the top on me like that, they have 2 pair or a set.

Re: Good Books, Bad Books

Indeed, Esfandiari did say that he read and re-read Doyle's NL section in S/S and that became Esfandiari's NL style.

Re: If a book on SnG\'s came out, wouldn\'t they die?

The newest volume of Jones' Winning Low Limit Hold'em has a section on SnG play. Plenty of folks still call raises with junk and then call off all their chips with 2nd pair, no draw...
