Re: 33 PP: AQs vs Short Stack

I don't have the software either, but would like to hear the #'s. Trying to fix leaks in my game and if this is one of them I certainly want to try to avoid it. Would the fact that the two blinds...

Re: Playing a local no-limit hold em SNG................

After flopping a set it'd be hard to get this guy away from you, and the reluctance in calling could tip off his holding. I agree with the fact that betting the ace after a PF raise does lend him...

Re: 33 PP: AQs vs Short Stack

Thanks for the responses, I did end up losing a race against a small pair, but wanted to check the play (which I felt was correct). The reason I didn't push PF was due to the texture of the table ,...

Re: Flopping Broadway out of the Small Blind

I think check raising the flop and then leading the turn could win you some money. Agree with the comments about the 3rd spade definitley, but check/raise on the flop and then leading on the turn...

Re: AK and SNG\'s, I have alot of questions and no answers.

I know a few friends that depending on the texture of the flop as well as the number of opponents that they'd check the flop from early position, even though they were the PF raiser. I like to mix...

Re: (5.5) - Did I play this AKs poorly?

I have no experience on Poker Rewards, but at this level you'll see people calling significant PF raises wtih Ax, especially if it's suited. You could be looking at 2p (it is possible I think) or...

Re: PP 30+3, 88 in the big blind

So try to go for standard continuation bet, and be ready to muck it if reraised?

Re: PP 30+3, 88 in the big blind

Figured on a limp with two suited cards or high connectors. Pot sized bet after an open limp, wanted to see what I may be up against. No flush draw, doubted against 2p, read the bet as "don't call,...

Re: Poor fold on my part?

Obviously it depends, but in this scenario I wasn't liking either fold and wanted to see if my feeling was right (that folding, in fact, was incorrect). The 3 or 4 handed comment might have been...

Re: Poor fold on my part?

Thanks for the input guys, my short-handed play has been pretty solid until as of late, when I get into situations such as these. My initial thought was to get out of the way, anticipating a push...

Poor fold on my part?

Villian has raised a lot recently, and I was sensing some tilt. 3 Handed any ace seemed to be good but was not sure how to play this, ended up folding. On the first hand I figured that short stack...

Re: Level of aggression for level 1 and 2 for PP 30+3?

Might be a touch too tight, or not defending blinds well enough. Normally I find myself glad I wasn't involved in a hand, but having a maniac with over 2k in chips at level 2 sometimes makes things...

Level of aggression for level 1 and 2 for PP 30+3?

Re: AKs, missed flop...push here?

I'm aware I only had an ace high on the flop but fired one barrel at it. The buyin was a 5+1 (yes, aware that I should play 5+.5 or 10+1). I had AK of clubs, so yes no spades. If I had clubs, I...

AKs, missed flop...push here?

3rd hand of SnG, no reads on anyone yet.

Re: Because They\'re Just Aren\'t Enough Posts on KK

I like the raise preflop, you figure it's a real healthy raise from MP so they have to figure it. With a flop of low cards and rainbow, I call this every time. Well played on your part

Re: What DO Most people DO here??

Has the raiser shown down any hands in the tournament? Due to stack size, had to win some pots early on. If they've opened from EP with a solid 3xbb raise in a 55 I'd also give credit for a good...
