Fold preflop.
Since you didn't, the flop raise was a nice way to get rid of the good player, but you're firing at two calling stations and now you have to keep firing and hope BB calls you down...

Check-fold or bet-fold. That's not your flop.
Even if you're ahead on the flop, you have to dodge cards to the river against two players.

I think you should get your money in on the flop.
The way you played it, I would count the 7 as a blank too. But if BB still bets the turn after you raised the flop, then you can just call it down.

I just called the 3-bet preflop, as I wanted to hide my strength a little bit--so SB wouldn't be too scared that I held a big pocket pair.
His bet on the turn would have made the pot about 7.5 BB....
