Re: MTT - Did I play this one wrong?
One way you could have won this...raise pre-flop. Yup, not necessarily a good thing with T4, but it's the only way you could have won this hand, because your play was fine. I would have pushed on...

Re: Bubble plays
1. The KK hand is not a push, it may well be just a call at this table where someone went all in every hand. This may be the time for a smooth call, or a smaller raise. Who exactly is going to...

Re: lvl 3
AKs is a good push hand, just not that great at calling pushes. Here, you aren't likely to see one of the few hands better than this before your'e bled down.

Re: Interesting table conversation
Not to be too dense or anything here, but I'll address the original question.
He was saying that the two bettors were chasing flushes, and that the boat was a nice surprise, not expected, and not...

Re: elementary TT
Push. Consider pushing pre-flop, but that's at least somewhat read dependent.

Re: $215s - Controversial AQ Hand
How do you get this? Only by looking at this from the river back can you make such a statement. Taken at each betting point, this wasn't optimal play by any stretch. PF, fine, no argument. ...

Re: Did I overplay my AJ?
Yes.
I could see a raise, but an all in leaves you vulnerable to too many things with a questionable hand like AJ. Plus, you've given up any chance of pushing out the AK on that sweet sweet flop....

Re: $215s - Controversial AQ Hand
Don't like it, too passive, too many players. Bet medium bet on the flop, you do not have a hand good enough to allow 6 other players to see a free card. What would you do when a K hits? or the...

Re: well-respected players
I see your point, but still disagree. You saying now what "two players" means is odd since it is in conflict with the obvious meaning. I strongly suggest you change the rule to make this clear.

Re: well-respected players
Sorry, Mr. Jones, but your argument isn't sound. It is also impossible to enforce actual collusion, e.g. where the "team" continues to discuss via IM or telephone the actual hands while at a table...

Re: AA UTG 5 callers
Check calling is giving them free/cheap cards to fill up their hand. Why would you push a club? Just curious, not necessarily disagreeing. This isn't that scary a board, despite his actions, so...

Re: AA UTG 5 callers
I hate this answer. Mind you, I'm not saying it's wrong, I just hate it. In my limited experience, you get much more grief letting limpers call your AA than the increased profit. Really, what flop...

Re: Beating myself up for a stupid laydown.
Re-raise, not push, definitely don't fold given your read of the player and his position. I hate AQ, even suited, so I feel your pain, but this is a premium hand, you're heads up, and likely way...

Re: AA UTG 5 callers
Push. I think your PF raise was slightly small, but you still ended up heads up. Given your description of the opponent, you may well be behind, but this is a hand and situation to commit to.

Re: Overcards vs hvy action coordinated flop 2
The flop betting makes me think you're beat. Check/calling made some sense, and it doesn't look like the A is your problem, but TT is beat by almost any hand that would 3 bet or call the 3 bets.

I don't see that enough has changed to make folding even an option here. He raised pre-flop, flop, called a turn raise, and raised your bet on the river. The Q on the river may have hit him, but...

Re: Trip kings against river raise
Funny, before I saw your post on what he had, I was going to suggest a slow-played set of 3s. So, let's track his thinking.
Doesn't raise the JJ PF, because of his position...ok. When the J hit...

Re: Raise on the turn against my TPTK
Do you have ANY read on the button? Taken in a vacuum, his raise on the turn, bet on the river seems like a T9 to me, as not sure what he would be holding for two pair with the 8, given the pf and...

Actually, what cured me off the same thing was a deliberate attempt by another player to rattle me. The villain would comment if I went to the river with second best hand (even if it was the right...
