Re: (10) flopped the nuts and extracted nothing

I'd bet like 200 on the flop and try to get everything in by the river.

Checking looks far more suspicious versus most opponents than betting does.

Re: bubbble hand $15+1 turbo - i hate folding here

This is the most awful fold I have ever seen in the history of poker. Folding a big draw on the bubble is one thing, folding this is another thing entirely.

I'd c/r all in personally

(100nl) Button raise flops double gut shot + turned FD

I am viewed as loose and aggressive. I have shown down air once or twice and have also played my draws hard.

The original limper is a huge donk and I raised him in an attempt to get the pot HU or...

Re: Decision based on your ROI

Why would your ROI ever come into any decision that you would make?

Also I doubt how +EV calling with AKs is in the scenario you described.

Re: Dogged by the big stack.

If he is raising a lot then push back at him. I doubt he is too willing to call off half his stack with qtos.

Of course he could then just start open pushing.

Re: The nature of 800 chip games

No you can't, you aren't deep stacked enough.

The button is awful anyways. Flat calling with KK, blech.

Re: $55 ITM: Flopped TPWK, scare card hit on Turn and facing 3/4pot bet

Well he either has the ace or is bluffing. Call and re-evaluate on the river.

Re: $55: Overpair on paired board- Bet out or check raise?

I bet out, check raising is going to committ you to this pot whereas if you bet out and there is a raise/re-raise behind you can fold.

Re: (PS $6.50 Turbo) ATs: TPTK

1. Fold preflop

2. I would bet a little bit less on the flop, like 170.

Gotta fold the turn.

Re: Do you call heads up in this situation?

I would want at least ten high to call my stack off HU.

With 20xbb you can find a better spot though.

Re: Would you take a 55% shot at doubling up in the first hand?

I doubt your friend is as good as he thinks he is.

Your variance would go through the roof and the bubble/shorthanded play is where most of your money comes from and while going there as the big...

Re: $22: Push or wait with an uber short stack

Okay, ICM takes into account many things. One thing it does not take into account is multiway pots.

By pushing here you are giving yourself the best chance to get HU and race. You have probably...

Re: $22: Push or wait with an uber short stack

Hero may be dealt a better hand for showdown value, but hero is more than likely not to be given a more +EV opportunity.

Mathematical fact, deny it if you'd like

Re: $22: UTG confusion

Raising and folding to a reraise with 10.5xbb is a big leak imo, blinds coming up or not.

Re: $22: UTG confusion

Eh, I'd push here. The big stacks aren't gonna call you with anything but the best hands and the shorties might come along with weaker aces.

That being said, this might only be minorly +EV (I am...
