Re: AQo OOP aganist Rock and Fish. Aggressive Bluff or Chip Spewing?

I can definately see that, even though it seems weak/tight to me. Well, more like I'm typically weak/tight, and this was an attempt to try to get more aggressive. Looks like I picked the wrong...

Is it sad that this is one of the things I'm looking forward to when I transfer colleges? Well, Netteller and possibly a legal cardroom near whereever it is I live.

Anyway, more generally,...

Re: NL beginner seeks advice on how to deal with \"trapper\"

The table is normally really loose. Taking 7 as the average number of players, it's maybe, 4-5 to a flop. I try to limp in on a wide variety of hands. Excluding the raising hands range i posted...

Re: NL beginner seeks advice on how to deal with \"trapper\"

Yeah, I'm sorry about the vagueness. Incidently enough, I have that same feeling of vagueness when I'm facing him going over the top. In any case, I'm concerned with overbetting preflop. Normal...

NL beginner seeks advice on how to deal with \"trapper\"

Hi. I'm a relative NL newbie who has been playing a .25/.25 $25 buyin for a couple of months with my home game group. I'm up money since we started the NL cash game, but I realize this doesn't...

Re: Are there any Clubs to play poker at in DC

A couple of people from my home game are doing the firehouse thing. But at the heart of it, it's a charity tournament (only way it's legal), which means 30-50% of the money is taken out of the pot...

Re: Home Poker Game Payouts

Typically when I go to poker games, I go to play poker, not to eat. I abhor having to split the costs of things which I'm not going to consume (Soda, beer, or food) I mean, if you're not going to...

Minor Trip Report - Weekday Borg question.

A friend and I hopped up to the borg on Friday. My 2nd "real" hand of the session, I hit a royal flush (first in my life). Got the hat and everything. The rest of the session was good, then bad. ...

Re: Optimum Strategy in this \"game\" (not poker related)

My disadvantage here is that the other 2 players have done this before. I'm not sure they're taking it this far, but they might have picked up knowledge of a more correct strategy just by intuition...

Optimum Strategy in this \"game\" (not poker related)

This isn't poker related, but I figured that I might give the forum a shot, it's a lot better at game theory than I am. In a week, there will be a "draft" of game players for a small intrasite...

Re: Bank Policy Against Gambling

Firepay is allowed, IIRC, but it's still inconvient as you can't withdraw using firepay, only deposit.

I've GOT to move out of this state.

Re: JJ hand on .5/1

To my mind, NH. If you lost money, I think you lost the least amount that you could have. If the 4 is out there, he should have c/red the turn, and if the flush is out there, he should have bet the...

Re: What is a reasonable \"fee\" for food, drink. etc?

QQ leads to odd waters

A friend of mine told me to post this hand. This was at the end of a session, as I was getting hungry. To be completely honest, at the time, it pretty much sent me into tiltmode, so I was glad it...

Re: Considering setting up a home game.
