Re: Poker Bot piece
The board resets, but the table does not.
If do that particular action to make him fold a few times, he will notice and catch your bluffs. Unless it is of course poorly programmed.

Re: My Dilemma (Bankroll Related)
The potential profit graph is what i always wonder about its accuracy most.
In the first place i am amazed to see this graph, if you could calculate the EV from every hand with reasonable...

Re: My Dilemma (Bankroll Related)
I also just had a pretty large downswing, i noticed it does effect the way i play.
Not really that it tilts me, but i am too worried about the results to be fully concetrated at the game.
If...

Re: Raising Overcards on the Flop.
I play micro limits and have problems with the same issue. Very often i tried to do riases with overpairs, but i get the feeling it is not doing so good.
Is it correct that at 1/2 this play is...

Where to find this information?
Hello, i am a new player. I have read a few books now and am reading more. All these books explain about odds and outs very well.
I can calculate my odds pretty well now. What my problem is, i have...

Re: Heads up with 77
Is folding preflop a mistake here ?
I can also understand those who say to 3-bet preflop and hope for it to be heads up.
I would just not call a raise with 77.

Re: \"You are pathetic\" (preflop question)
That assumes of course that you will not continu past the flop with less than a draw.
If you calculate it when you play every hand to the river then yes the chance is bigger, but i don't think...

Re: \"You are pathetic\" (preflop question)
15 and 35 at least 20 ? in a pot 3bet pot, seems unlikely to me as then you will need to win with single pairs or bluffs.
You are gonna get a straight, flush or 2 pairs+ less than 10% by the river.

[ QUOTE ]
well at least 8 are in at most 10 preflop in a 5 way cap.
[/ QUOTE ]
oh ya, i did not consider a cap, that would of course make the situation only worse. and lowers the EV below 0...

Re: \"You are pathetic\" (preflop question)
hmm ya. 8 went in preflop right? (5*3 = 15 +SB)
so make it 14-15 maybe? increasing it more also requires increasing the post flop investment. that pretty much evens out i think.
2 more big bets...

Re: 89s -vs- AKs
Don't educate your opponents at the table !
It can have 2 effects:
-You actually educate people and make the game harder to win
-You make people note you and possibly respect you more. This is...

That makes a good randomizer for your play style if you use different MP3 songs and put them all on random /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Re: Mathematical Expectation
If someone bets such a large amount, you have to expect him to have big cards and thus your cards will need to be bigger before they provide you positive EV.
If you put all the cards in line from...

Well, first of all, there is the max buy-in to prevent this. You can't lose more than you are willing to put at stake.
Within that buyin, indeed you always have the idiots who go all-in when the...

Re: Mathematical Expectation
Ok then, to your question:
It doesn't matter, it will even out. As long as all bets you make are +EV, it does not matter how big the pot is.
Folding when you have +EV is throwing away money....
