Re: AK top two...too aggro?

Ugh, you capped the flop and checked the turn! You're lucky it didn't get checked through. Bet the turn!

Re: Spewing w/ TT?

I wimp out and just call if he three bets the river. /images/graemlins/frown.gif

Re: AK - river action?

With only 30 hands, your read here isn't gospel, but it appears that AQ isn't likely in villain's 3 betting range IMO. With a more definitive read of villain being more aggressive preflop (say 12+),...

Re: was this a bad play?

I have a bigger problem with the turn raise than the flop peel. I think folding on the flop is the best play with the PFR yet to act, but I would have peeled here if I were closing the action.

On...

Re: AKo vs. a dick (lancasteraus)

After you pwned his AQ, did he say, "OMG you fish, you didn't cap AK preflop!"

I've played with this guy several times. My guess is that he hasn't ever been laid and hasn't come to grips with his...

Re: WA/WB, bet the river?

This probably doesn't qualify as a WA/WB situation. If you're ahead here villain probably has 6+ outs.

I probably just fold on the flop, but if you're going to continue with the hand, I think you...

Re: another not mine hand

Might be weak, but I like check call the turn and check call a non five or nine river.

Re: 3bet fold to a cap?

As a standard line against normal opponents, a three-bet here would be spew IMO. Against this opponent, there may be some value in a three-bet. I probably just call though.

Re: is this too weak with KK?

That's a strange check by villain on the river. The ace seemed to scare him which would lead me to think my KK may be good. He might think his two pair just got counterfeited by AQ/AT etc. A river...

Re: AQ & QQ - Two handed post vs Unknowns

Hand 1: Fine.

Hand 2: Easy call IMO.

Hand 3: Tough. Against an Unknown I'm calling down.

Re: thin calldown

I don't like the flop 3 bet. Against a tilting oppponent I'm looking to get to showdown once he shows any kind of agression.

Depending on specific reads I may let this go on the flop and look...

Flop check (live play)

I had my ass handed to me at a 4/8 table at Commerce last weekend, and my confidence is shaken. Should I be making a continuation bet on this flop? My instincts said no, but I'm reevaluating my...

Re: 3/6, difficult turn decision with TP/NK

I don't think you're good here very often. I call down here most of the time and hate myself when MHING.

Re: Eights

I would bet out with two or less opponents here, but with four players yet to act I like checking and seeing what develops. If it's two back to me I can toss this, if a bet comes from an aggressive...

Re: Too quick to go WA/WB?

I hate any line that includes a fold in this hand. 11 hands doesn't tell us jack, and I'd just as soon treat this villain as an unknown.

I probably just raise the turn and call down if 3 bet.

I agree with everyone that a checkraise here is the best play on the flop.

We both checked the river. Spicy showed A9o and MHIG.

I typed, "I don't think I call a river bet."
Spicy typed, "You...

Re: Another hand from 2+2 table last night....

[ QUOTE ]
I would have bet the flop.

Yep, given the table conditions I should have.

Another hand from 2+2 table last night....

The table has been very aggressive but no real retarded aggression (an occassional 3 bet PF with Q7). I've been running bad and had to laydown several hands I raised PF to turn bets and raises. ...

Re: Is iso raising worth it?

I would stop isoraising with hands that dont do well multiway like A8 or something. But I am still popping him with K9s.

I raised when he limped with A7, A9, A5s, K8s,...

Re: 5/10 K9s from BB

Bet the flop. Giving free cards on this flop is bad. The rest looks good.

Is iso raising worth it?

Last night I had a 85/20/0.9 player to my right, but the LPP 55/7/1.2 to my left kept cold calling my iso raise attempts. Do I just give up on trying to iso the player on my right? Any suggestions?

Re: Lancasteraus: Stop berating the fish

I especially like it when bad players who think they're really good are giving strategy advice.

"I don't raise my aces preflop. My pot odds change the equity too much after the flop to be +EV."

Re: any interest in a 2+2 table?

well I thought it was pretty even but dikshit won $127

[/ QUOTE ]

Strange, that's almost exactly how much I lost. /images/graemlins/blush.gif
