when you hit your big hand and get your chips in the middle do you want your opponent to have a short stack...

I would at least consider raising preflop to 20 or so. Definitely bet 25 on the turn and if he raises big, push. If he min-raises make it 100. The way it was played, 3-bet him to whatever...
