Re: I hate calling with crap on the bubble.

I'm just making sure I understand. Your getting 3:1 and have T890 left if you fold? If so, it sounds good to my newbie self.

1st 300, 20+2 stats - I\'m a bubble breaker!?

I'm concerned about the large % of 4th place finishes. I've learned to respect the gap and have curbed my calling, but it seems more often then not I'm called when I push w/ 3-4xBB. Often I do push...

One thing I noticed about HoH is that it really doesn't address bubble play *at all*. It doesn't even say anywhere "assume you are playing for first so don't fold into money but this is...

Re: Where do you accumulate most of your chips?

Sometimes i will double up early (when I have a premium hand and someone plays back), but more often it is mid levels when I start getting aggressive.

Re: Would you lay down JJ in this situation to an unaggressive player?

If villian had any pocket pair > 8, except TT, I'm now hosed. If he had overcards, why the minimum raise after I had bumbed it pf and bet ~pot on the flop. It is a stunningly good small bluff that...

Re: Another Bubble Hand

OK. i misread the raise (thought it was too 900). so there is fold equity if he believes you have an overpair (he's still getting just shy of 2:1, i think).

Re: Push during first blind level with AQo -- is this a mistake?

AQ is not a premium hand. It is an outstanding hand for going broke against a rr. You just lay it down.

Re: Another Bubble Hand

IMHO I'm surprised this isn't a fold: You have no fold equity at this point - Essentially you are calling a bigger stack on the bubble (with smaller stacks in significantly worse shape) and you're...

Re: Push during first blind level with AQo -- is this a mistake?

Never push AQ in early levels (unless your playing a random hand generator).

graphing SNG performance

I'm looking for software that plots performance for SNG, much like "poker grapher" does for cash games; that is, it can work from a poker tracker data base. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Re: Playing QQ from BB, aggressive player to your left

I think you played it well. Although, I also think there is a great value (with high variance) in letting aggressive players keep the lead when there is a strong probability of them holding an...

Is improvement stunted by multi-tabling?

I've been playing about 1 year. My goal is to move up to mid level NL cash games. I usually play 3, 0.5/1$ tables and find that I am improving but am unable to evaluate opponents deeply (i.e., much...

Re: Playing QQ from BB, aggressive player to your left

Well, you don't of course, but i like your read PF. How often do you see a big opening raise like that utg from an unpaired A? He's only going to get action from superior hands or (another) AK.

He is getting 2:1, so he only needs 1/3 liklihood of a bluff to break even. I think it is a very tough decision. You don't know him and it is a great bet whether he's hit or missed. I say, take a...

continuation bets and turn bluffs

I play 0.25/0.5 and 0.5/1 at PP. Situation: AK, JJ, QQ ,or KK. I often make a preflop 3x raise. When the flop misses me, or comes with overcards to my pocket pairs I will usually make a continuation...
