Re: 12/07 Bad Beat

5 outs is not a bad beat. If you want a bad beat, look at this:

Poker gods continue to kick me in the balls

The 3/6 full game on Party is pretty good. Most of these guys are idiots. Yet, I still lose. Why? Because the poker gods enjoy laughing at me while my queens get beaten on the river by a 3 outer,...

Re: Bottom Pair + Fl. Draw

Ok, maybe not with 50% certainty, but I'm inclined to think the button is trying to get tricky if he open limps on the button when he is LAGy. This actually happened to me the other day when I held...

Re: JJ on 8 high board. money?

I think you're going to have to dump the jacks preflop. CO's PFR is only 7.75 which definitely puts him on aces kings or queens. The flop cap is also pretty shocking. This is the kind of messy...

Re: Bottom Pair + Fl. Draw

Button's open-limp on the button is certainly strange, and probably means he's holding AA or KK.

Not a fan of the 3-bet on the flop in this case, but otherwise I think you played ok.

Edit: And...

My modified Party client (NWS)

It was a bit distracting at first, but now I hardly notice it.

Re: AT in BB. Well played or foolish aggression?

At first I wasn't too happy about the turn raise, but after reading your thinking behind it I like this line. Are you folding to a 3 bet on the turn?

I might raise this turn

That's no good in my opinion, since there are still players to act behind. That could be a lot of trouble potentially.

Looking for a program to organise my time playing poker

I'm graduating in November, and before I start working next year I'm going to play pro. Mainly 8-tabling 2/4 (and eventually 3/6 and 5/10) limit as well as a bit of .5/1 and 1/2 6max but I want to...

Re: A steal attempt gets messed with.

Thinking about the range of hands he can have, there's a good chance (if he's tricky), that BB is trying to get you to think he was slowplaying the flop. In fact, he may well have been, with a...

Re: 67s, great flop but 2 bets to you?

Flop play is nice and aggressive. Raise the turn, I don't see MP1 raising the flop with a guthsot.

Re: back to basics 3 - flush draw+top pair

What do you plan on achieving with your raise? I call here with 5 opponents so as not to kill the action.

Re: TT, 2 pair & an overcard on board

Not sure how you can get away from this on the turn, but I'm fairly sure SB has you beat by the river, so I'd say it would be safe to fold.

Re: ATo

I think you've got to call here. Even though he might have 88 or a king, you're getting odds enough to see a showdown. You don't want people taking shots at you.

Re: Wimpy TT

Yeah that's pretty weak - you're better off raising or folding, I'd lean toward a raise on the flop seeing as you've raised preflop.

Re: QQ utg check raised by 2

I don't think you can fold here, you have 10 outs to beat a flush, and you've getting 6 to 1 to call.

I'm more interested in seeing if it's worthwhile check-calling the river if a blank hits.

Re: I can call this flop right?

75s in the BB - muck city. ESPECIALLY since you have a TA UTG raising.

You may have enough implied odds to chase your gutshot, but I'd sooner throw it away.

This is why playing very marginal...

Re: 77 with flush draw on flop

Given button's aggressive play of draws, the 3-bet on the flop is good. I'm trying to work out what button would have to call on the river - a smaller flush?

Turn & river are fine imo. Does...

Re: pocket kings-played poorly?

Not a good flop for you at all, folding seems ok, but the raise is probably better.

Turn is good, I don't think SB would have a flush draw, I'm questioning the value bet on the river, I would...

Re: Worst Bad Beat Ever????????

HAHAHAHAA

No.

You've got to be kidding.

If you have Super System, find the part where flopped quad aces get beaten by runner runner royal flush.

Re: AQs

I'm not big on capping AQs preflop, but there's nothing particularly wrong with that.

Bet the turn, and possibly the river if you think you can get everyone to fold.
