Re: Pot odds question

So, tell me if I am understanding this correctly...if I am on a flush draw with ~36% of hitting my flush and I am getting 4 to 1 odds with my call....it is correct to call, right? If so, at what...

Pot odds question

I need some help with applying odds.....I understand counting my outs and coming up with a % chance of hitting.

What I am having trouble with is comparing that % with the pot size and/or a bet...

Re: Your call?

Very annoying, I guess every home game has the same type of player.....holds a large stack in his hand, drops one chip at a time counting out his "raise".......while hoping that it will eventually be...

Re: Not feared!

That is correct, these players are the winners...they win the big money, or they are out early, and I am seeing that that is better than always being fourth. They put fear in everyone else when they...

Not feared!

Okay, I play in a couple of N/L tournaments per week, 8 to 18 people, $10 to $20 buy ins. These games have a pretty regular crowd, so it doesn't take long to figure out that I play really tight, I...

Re: Dumbest home game rule ever?

The first home game I played in:
Game ends at 10:30, person with the most chips win! Every night at 10:00pm....short stacks going all-in, big stacks folding...until someone calls, gives all his...

Re: Another Interesting Home Game situation

If you are the one usually making decisions, you should make the call here. And you should probably consider it a call, but make it perfectly clear that from now on any exposed hands are dead.

Re: Bubble Boy

Looking back, I really didn't give much info at all! $20 N/L, 12-20 people, ~4,500 starting chips, blinds start at 25/50 and go up every twenty minutes. I am consistantly finishing on the bubble. ...

Bubble Boy

I regularly play in two $20 buy in N/L tournaments a week. One game has 6 to 9 players, and I win my fair share of the time. The other game has 12-20 players and I have only finished in the money...

How should this have been played?

I will try to give as much information as possible. First time I had played in this home game, no real reads on anyone other than they seemed like solid, by the book type players. Blinds are at...

Re: Dealers mouth!

Very good points! It is one of my less serious games...you are right, not enough in the pot to make a big deal over it, just thought it would be interesting to see if I could buy the pot!

Dealers mouth!

I was playing in a home tournament, a player who had already been knocked out was doing the dealing and I was heads-up against a player that rarely thinks things through. On fourth Street the board...

Re: Middle pair example

This would be a .50/1.00 6 player room, so I would say $2.00 after the flop. But this is just an example, I just seem to get caught in these situations a lot, and I think I am losing money....I need...
