Re: The ole\' 4-bet, fold to a 5-bet

You're probably beat, but call. For the love of God raise the turn.

Re: $40/$80 hand AKs

So you would never fold AK and 99 on down to a turn raise by a solid, weak tightish player? SUre you had QQ in this case, but I bet the only hands you 3 bet against him here are KK and AA.

Really? So you don't even give the donkey a pocket pair?

Re: $40/$80 hand AKs

When a donkey donk bets you must raise. If TAG 3 bets you the hand is over. Check the river unimproved and expect to take it down most of the time. Now if donkey 3 bets I don't know. Also cap preflop...

Re: 40/80 KQs

I know what its like not to get responses because you aren't a top 10 poster but try not to fill your own thread with your own responses. Anyhoo...call down. You are probably way ahead, but getting 4...

Re: 3bet preflop with AK check flop?

With no info on players I say bet. Getting chkraised by SB or UTG isn't that bad unless they've hit a set and you want to try to cut down the field or get a free card. SB and UTG probably have a hand...

Re: River

Well since you bet the turn, you might as well bet the river. And as you do, say "ok we chop." If he raises you here I think you can safely fold, but its definately worth 1 more to take the whole...

Ok, maybe a little WT, but you don't think the chance that this flop gets raised or even capped with 3 behind justifies folding...

Re: Turn decision with AK

Call the turn and hope its good. If there were 3 people behind you I might muck this flop with SB betting into the field in a capped pot.

Re: results

This hand would've been really interesting if the river was a 3 and I'm forced to lay down kings full for one more bet. Yes, I could've slowed down by bet 7, but anybody that slows down before that...

I have a set, check/fold?

Live 20-40. I open UTG with KK, passes around to button who 3 bets, BB on raging tilt goes all in for 15 chips total, button and I call and we're heads up for the flop. A little background, button...

Re: the old mike l. rears his ugly head?

[ QUOTE ]
I am pretty sure you just want one BB going in on both the turn and river.

Edit: I say this mostly because I think he has a flush draw on the flop a decent percent of the time here....

Re: the old mike l. rears his ugly head?

Assuming you want us to ignore the preflop limp it looks good. Just hope he doesn't donkbet the river.

Re: KK 40-80 against a talker

I think if he has AQ here more than half the time he has AA then the raise is good, if vice versa bad. If its close but you think he would play a boat this way some % of the time then I would lean...

Re: Too weak or just right?

Either bet the turn or checkraise it. Checking is the worst option since you get no info. That being said, unless villain is LAG there's nothing he bets on the river that you can beat.

Re: A common pair vs draw situation

Regardless of how much I've made him pay on the flop, its still a mistake to give a draw a free card. The problem is since he's capable of playing an overpair the same way I don't know where I'm at...

A common pair vs draw situation

Ok I hope this warrants response. Live 20-40, laggish but sensible player open raises from MP1, button calls, I call from BB with 88, 3 to the flop. Flop is 9 /images/graemlins/club.gif6...

kdoublek, the problem with your line is that this is how I might play a wide variety of hands. AJ, suiteds, X3. He could very easily be value-bettting here after letting the hero fire out...

Re: WCOOP Event 4 - 3 hands for review

Hand # 1 - This is definately the trickiest hand. Preflop call is good. I like cardsharp's check/call line on the flop, though a checkraise would definately tell you where you're at. Unfortunatly...
