Re: How do you play AA here?
My move is all in (and pretty much the only move i think). There is already 525 in the pot, your call makes it 875, so a pot sized raise would be have you betting 1225 and take over half your stack.

Re: Bubbling
With this level of confidence I'd be tempted to try an induce a bluff by limping, which I'd call. Yes you're on the bubble but you have a good chance to double up and I've got to believe this is +...

Re: Qc Jc in big blind
[ QUOTE ]
Preflop: I think Raiser has a good pocket pair, AK, AQ.
[/ QUOTE ]
There is no reason to put an late position open raiser on a hand this good. I think the call isn't too bad,...

Re: Playing KK on Level 1
[ QUOTE ]
This is Party. 400 is 50% of your starting stack.
[/ QUOTE ]
It is? I thought you started with 1000 at party, atleast based on the chip counts earlier thats what it seems.

Re: Playing KK on Level 1
[ QUOTE ]
Actually, I do just call. If a flop comes with an Ace on it, you can pretty well know you are beat with this crowd, and you save over half your chips. If you don't get an ace on the...

Re: Playing KK on Level 1
Well, there is no way I'd just call. You either have to believe the BB has AA and fold or you have to push. Given that MP1 did not re-raise all in after limping initially i doubt he's trying the...

Re: Bounty tournaments- unfair to the targets?
Have you seen an example of a tournament that has a limited number of bounties for non-sponsored players? ie shooting stars has the special guests, and some tournies bounty everyone but I haven't...

Re: Two 9-9 hands
With the first 99 you can't cold for more than 25% of your stack, you either fold or move all in if you think its a steal and the guy will lay it down.
With the second 99 I'd fold too, the move in...

Re: Playing Trash Early
[ QUOTE ]
Early on when the blinds are 10/20, 15/20, and even sometimes when it is 25/50 (depending on your stack size), I like playing LOTS of not-so-good hands, but NEVER trash. 76s, for example,...

Re: Playing Trash Early
I think its rare playing complete trash will ever work, however getting in cheap with hands like JTo or 89s is perfectly fine in later positions.
I think you will find that a lot of people...

You are correct; however, you should be stealing the blinds enough times to make up the difference.

Re: normal raise 3xBB

3xBB = 2x current pot $ize. So you're saying this would be a typical, normal raise. I'm just trying to gauge what "normal" means in these situations.

Re: QQ in the BB Early in Tourney
I think you are discarding the flat call prematurely. You have QQ against a limper, a raiser and a cold caller. Flat calling for 120 is an option if it would be hard to get all 3 out preflop, or at...

Re: Hand that busted me
You'll need to post blinds and your stack size at the very least. If the blinds are 400-800 and you have 20000 for instance, pushing all in with TT is probably not the right play, but it probably is...

Re: Being critisized got me thinking
Personally I would not make the raise here because it opens you up to a re-raise all-in from the LMP as you note, also 22 is a hand you probably want customers with if you aren't going to try and...

Re: Should have I dropped
Well unless you know a bit about UTG+1 I'd be more likely to limp pre-flop with 66 as generally he's showing a bit of strength here. If however he does this all the time, then fine, pop it. The...
