Re: JJ against argo player

[ QUOTE ]
I don't like that line because it's too expensive in case he actually has a queen. You've comitted more than half of your chips and it's hard to say whether you are really ahead or not. ...

I just push it all in on the flop.

I have 22BB, why push?

Re: JJ against argo player

I know this hand is unimpressive, but I do need some feedback.

I will give you the next piece. I check the flop, villian bets $1000, I cr to $2500. Villian calls.

What do you think of this...

JJ against argo player

This was a $100+9 sat MTT for a seat to the $1000+50 WSOOP event. Blinds were 100/200. MP2 has been raising and re-raising whenever in a hand (and has rarely had to show down any hands). He has...

Re: Pot Odds Call?

[ QUOTE ]
One of the things about HOH2 that surprised me a little, is the liberal range of hands that Harrington says he'll call with - even just to see a flop - when you're getting 2-1 or so on the...

Re: what does it take to be a great player?

Just curious where you play, and at what buy-in. This sounds a lot like a $3R. If your example of two to three players going all-in with low pairs and speculative hands is during a re-buy period,...

Re: I\'m confused about this one...

I like your line against a tight or solid player.

I think the pf raise to $400 is just right. You are raising for value here, and are way above the average hand. I would be happy whether he...

Re: Tournaments in Vegas?

The Orleans has a great ~$100 tourney.

Go to their web site. They not only give you the schedule, but also the blind structure.

It was the best structure I found at that buy-in level ($500 or...

My bottom line would be to be very uncomfortable with a call there. Easy to say in hindsight because I didn't see what your opponent was doing. But IMHO, it would have possibly been better...

Re: Would you make this call?

IMO this is bad advice.

If you fold with your A7o you will have 5.5BB playing 6 handed (an effective M of 2.2 if you are familiar with hoh2).

Your read on villian was that he would push here...

Re: Play it meek, or strong

Your friend's on crack.

You have to raise in your position...unless you want it to be 5-6 handed.

Get it heads up!

Re: AKo, how would you play this hand?

You won't get to many replies without giving more information.

Mainly your table image, as well as villians.

What would villian raise 5BB with, especially being 1/3 his stack and UTG.

I may...

Welcome to the forum! You will find that you get better responses to your hand if you don't post the results. Not to mention that often times you will get result oriented responses.

This is just a way of slowplaying your hand...show weakness to induce a bluff.

As with any slowplay, you open yourself up to being drawn out on. I love when a guy with AA slowplays and lets me...

To me in the BB, you would do that with any 2, I call with almost any 2, 9 or higher. Tight image or no.

Another reason to push with Kx.

Re: Wreckless or justfied move?

Acccording to the votes, 42% would say fold.

This is hard for me to believe. Hero has just over 5BB, and K8o is an above average hand. He needs chips, this is no time to "wait for a better...

Re: Ok, so what should I do here? PP 30+3

That is a tough spot. I fold here more often than not.

A big question is what does his 2.5x raise mean...any reads?
Is this his standard raise?

Re: Pocket 66\'s six handed. First place World Series bound.

This is an easy push. You have already stated many of the resaons to make this play.

The biggest reason to me is that you are down to 4BB, six handed! With four players behind you, this is a...

Re: JJ....and an unknown pushes.....

I call. As it has already been said before, the range of hands is very wide in the fishy portion of a low buy-in tourney. One poster said he'd only be afraid of QQ. I feel the same way.

I am...

Re: Best site for MTT\'s?

If you like Stars, try some of the sat tourneys for a softer game. The $3R is in your range and is fairly easy to win a seat (usually worth 215 in T$).
