Bump

Anybody have any insights regarding table selection at 3/6? Are the good tables that dramatically different than the bad?

Re: Telling the difference between bad play or a downswing?

In my experience, I have had bad runs that are always a combination of bad beats, bad luck, whatever... and bad play. Most learning players are going to make their share of mistakes, and sometimes...

Party 3/6 Table Selection & Stats

I recently read in another post that table selection is critical at Party 3/6. I have about 15K hands playing 3 and 4 tables at 3/6 and have experienced tremendous swings, in excess of 150BB+. What...

Re: 2/4 Check-up Flopping the Nuts and not even considering FPS lines

I dont' like the checkraise for the aforementioned reasons, particularly you lose the call from the BB. I think the checkraise and cap on the flop completely kills any action you might get on the...

Moving Up from Party $3/6 to $5/10 - Help

I searched for historical posts regarding the difference in play between Party 3/6 and 5/10, but did not find one. If there is such a post, or several posts, I would greatly appreciate any...

Re: bet the river?

Welcome to the site. Limits below $2/4 belong in micro-limits for future reference. Reads are tremendously important in this game. Depending on the quality of the opponent, a raise may have been a...

Re: Correct play on the turn? River?

Both the turn and the river look good. However, with as many outs as you have, a checkraise on the turn may be a more profitable play here. UTG+1 has been raising the entire way, I checkraise the...

Re: Ideal PT Stats

Do a search for this. There are countless posts that have discussed this in great detail.

3BB/100 is excellent
2BB/100 is great
1bb/100 is pretty damn good

Re: KK Hand with 3Flush Flop vs a LAG

I don't know if folding the flop is the best play here. What hands have you dominated? Ax, which is a popular raising hand, and AA, QQ-TT. With button's numbers, particularly his 15% pfr, I call...

Re: Is this one of those times I should check behind on the turn?

Way behind to one of two cards in the deck, and you are heads up. What are the odds of you being behind, and you being ahead? He called your raise preflop, he called you on the flop, what tells you...

Re: Fun With 55

The way I understand the argument is not whether a check-raise in this scenario is the best way to maximize the number of BB in the pot, but instead what is the likelihood that his play will work. ...

Re: First Foray Into Full Ring Games

Fold the turn, river? Where is the raise? You may be behind, but you don't really know if you don't bet or raise somewhere, do you? Isn't the line here call/call/raise?

Re: One way to improve your game...

I think Spamuell makes a good point. I don't doubt that moving up with a set small bankroll may be helpful to your play, but considering that it takes a couple thousand hands sometimes to just get...

Re: too reckless with QQ?

You are most likely behind to two pair or a set. Considering your read that your opponent only overplays pocket pairs, than you have to suspect a set. If your opponent overplays hands like J7, J7s...

Re: AQo: top pair vs. aggression against unknown player

Bad feelings generally mean FOLD. IF you fold, you're putting him on KJ? I am curious, is this BB still in the hand, or SB?

Re: JTs flops trips but I fold to a river 3-bet

What hands did you put him on? I think I call this with trips. The way you played this isn't characteristic of a J, and you finally raise a 2 /images/graemlins/club.gif on the river, he may simply...

Excellent post Sarge. Quite interesting to know that some of the excellent players on this site were once in the same place that many of us small stakes players are currently. Just shows that...

bump...

I am curious what people think of these hands, do you get away from them anywhere?

Would anybody have a different read on the two LAGs in these two hands?

Re: Two AA hands - lots of action - too aggressive?

Sorry... Hand 2:

I checked every street initially. Is this just idiotic fancy play?

Re: Any way to better protect this 2 pair hand??

No call preflop here, this is a fold. Why? Because the only ways you can win with his hand are getting real lucky on the flop like you did, and a low flush...you're losing money in the long-run...
