Re: 10/20 facing all-in with set of 9\'s

I am worried about a TP limping, then check-raising and, then reraising all-in after a serious reraise from me.

It can't be a draw and I'm in doubt if AQ is realistic from a TP with an AF around...

Re: 10/20 facing all-in with set of 9\'s

This was not a tough spot for me, but I think it should have been because of the opponent!

RESULT

I insta called and lost to a flopped set of A's.

The reason I ask about this hand, is that I in the hurry at the table forgot villain was tight-passive. And passive was REALLY passive. I think his...

10/20 facing all-in with set of 9\'s

10/20 NLHE online

Villain is tight-passive and I've seen no tricky play from his side, but I only have about 60 hands with him.

UTG limps, UTG+1 limps, I limp with 99, 1 more limps and BB...

Re: Pot odds... trying to make easy?

Yes, you can convert your potodds to % exactly as you did.

But you are making things difficult for yourself. Forget percentages and calculate in odds terms only. Count your outs and translate that...

Re: big laydown or is this standard? 2/4 NL

sry... forgot about the stacks. No, you cant move in with that deep stacks.

And.... sry again, I just realize that if he reraises you, we are in 4th bet. I can't remember when I saw a 2-4 player...

Re: big laydown or is this standard? 2/4 NL

If he is a tricky LAG, then move in pf if he reraises u.

Re: big laydown or is this standard? 2/4 NL

Don't like your PF call. Reraise!

On the flop here, you have an easy fold.

I really like the suggestion of underbetting the flop. I just hope it doesnt encourage the "he's weak, c/r with air" line of thought....

Re: question about standard deviation

standard dev. has nothing to do with where you end after 10 years, it's about how big swings (positive and negative) you encounter in small time samples, like a session or an hour or pr. 100 hands or...

Re: NL 5/10 Full with Slick

I assume stacks around 1000 and 10-handed.

It's really bad, but I think you have to muck. If you continue, it's because you want to play for your stack. You can get no more information out of...

Re: Few decisions

I would check-call here to induce a bluff.

If you push now, which hands you beat will call? Or which hands you don't beat will fold? Not many. And he will probably bet a set of 4's or 2's for you...

I just called his raise on river. He showed J3 and I took the 1200 pot.

As one mention, he is BB and I didn't like to face K3 or Q3, but after the hand, I think I should have moved in for his last...

Re: 5/10 flopped full - river decision

hmmmm... actually I agree! This is a very rare way to play for me, but I hoped to tease him into a big bet if he had a 3. The other part is that I'm afraid he will fold a medium pair, so I choose the...

Re: check or bet?

I would bet flop 150-200. If called, I shut down here.

As you played it, I would bet turn. Something like 150. If called, I would not really like it, but probably check-call depending of the...

One limper to me on button with 22 and I call, SB calls, BB checks.

Flop 3 3 2 rainbow, pot: 40

Checked to me, I bet 25, SB folds, BB (unknown) raise to 50, limper folds, I raise to 75, BB...

Re: I folded these. Am I getting run over?

Re: I folded these. Am I getting run over?

I would have folded all of them as you did.

I don't understand why anyone would continue on hand 1. Only indication is that the raise is so big at one might get suspicious. Maybe he has a lower 2...

Is this crazy? 5/10 4-way pot.

5/10 max 1000 online

4 limpers to me on button with 76o. I raise to $65, blinds fold, ultra tight player call, shortstack moves in with his last $122 (sigh), fish calls $128, one fold.

Pot is...

Re: Moderating MHNL....

If we always write the stakes in the title of the post, people who don't want to read certain stakes can just skip it.

Maybe something for the FAQ?
