Re: Bay 101 changing from button drop to rake
I have recently been playing at the Oaks in Emeryville. I started playing there because they switched from a time charge to a rake. I think that there is an advantage to the rake at the lower...

Re: Difficulty adjusting to party

If you are going to play PP i would recommend the 30/3, i think anything lower then that, the people are to bad to win consistantly.

That is very funny. Actually I...

\"Are you live?\"
Was playing in a 50 buy in with a 40 addon at Lucky Chances in SF. End up shortstacked (very short stacked) Next blinds and ante will take my stack. I pick up J10s in the cutoff folded to me. I...

Re: final table question
So there is 9600 in the pot and you raise 10K more probably thinking at worst you are a coin flip if he holds two overcards. Also you have folding equity. If you win your the chip leader. If you...

Would you have made this play 50+5 Large Caps
So last nights Large Caps on party I was pretty much nursing my average to a little below average stack for most of the tourney. I had 11100 in chips with 25 players left. I am now a short stack,...

Re: Phil Gordon on \"the other Phil\"
Phil Gordon is a Tiltboy. Its pretty funny that the "professional attitude" should be advocated by a man the dressed as a woman to play in a ladies only tournament. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Re: Results
With your read I agree with your play. The folding equity here is key. If you read him for a set you cant make this play because he is not going to fold. I would have done that in this situation...

Re: How do you play this (AJs on the button)?
The first thought that I had was that the SB has a set. If your read on him is correct I would think he would bet this flop with an overpair. That being said you are in a position to call to...

I strongly agree with the poster who questioned reraising with this hand in this spot. After seeing what hands the players had here I can see that this game is quite different than the games I play...

Re: Would you fold this ?
Wow this is a very strange hand for two reasons.
1. The min raise pf from EP with Aces is very bad because at this limit a min raise is likely to get like 6 callers. Im assuming this is not 6...

Re: Any way to avoid this
Hmmm When MP called the 20 I thought that he had the same read as me on EP. Namely that he had a weak ace and was overplaying his hand. I was just in love with my flop so pushing seemed right here....
