Re: C/C++ Help Needed...

Check the 25th bit in lParam. If it's on, then it's the numpad's Home. If it's off, it's the regular Home key.

This should be the same regardless of OS version.

Re: Fold If Told I\'m Beat?

Hand 1: I raise the turn and fold if someone behind me 3-bets it. A 3-bet by CO would convince me that he's got the goods, but his simple raise here isn't enough information...there are some who'll...

Re: Did I fail to protect my hand in this ex-large pot?

Flop is perfect. MP2 makes a bad, bad call of your 3-bet, which is very nice.

Your turn play is questionable. After 3-betting the flop, you check? You _have_ to know that CO will bet when checked...

Re: AQo -- nuts on the turn, not on the river

You've got MP1's 2-pair or set beat here. The problem is Button and your crappy position. If you bet and MP1 raises, do you fold if Button 3-bets? Regardless of what happens, I'm not folding the...

Re: KK bad foldy?

This is pretty read-dependent. Ideally, you'd like to know what SB check-raises with on the flop. He could be your typical micro-limit LAG donk, I don't know. But barring any reads on these two, and...

Re: Wait for the turn?

You've got sooo much pot equity on the flop, and with 6 opponents (all of whom are just looking for an excuse to call your bets/raises), I say give them the opportunity. Besides, if you wait until...

Re: AQ hand

I think you played it fine. I don't think raising the flop is going to accomplish much...you might knock out the button, but you might also get 3-bet. Peel one off and go from there.

Re: Questionable Flop Call w/AQs

Getting 14-1 on a gutshot + backdoor flush + 2 or 3 outs worth of clean overcards....definite call.

I'm not so sure about the turn raise, given your relative position to the original bettor. It...

Re: Bad River Call with Trip Js

I'd slow down on the turn, and call down (what would be) the 2-bets coming back. I'd fold the river UI.

Re: stuck AA in the middle

UTG really likes his hand...I'm thinking a set of 3's, 5's, or 7's. MP3's preflop raise plus his constant 3-betting looks like an overpair, 99-KK.

BTW, I lead the turn here.

Re: Anybody call here?

You're getting a split at best, and SB is still to act after you. I fold.

Re: QQ hand at an insane 1/2 party table that left me wondering...

Raise it preflop and given villain the chance to 3-bet or cap it for you.

Bet, raise, re-raise, cap the flop. Sounds like this guy wants to give away his chips.

I probably 3-bet the turn,...

Re: Hand Help

The turn raise smells suspicious...he called your PF raise with a 3? Course, at this level that's entirely possible. 33's are a possibility. Given that it's heads-up at this point, I probably just...

Re: Check up hand, river (semi) scare card

The weak-tightie in me wants to check/call this river. But the more aggressive side says "bet". There are plenty of weak Ace hands that CO would call with here. If he raises, I curse and call.

Re: Let the berating begin... KK, fold on the flop

I 3-bet the flop. You've got an overpair and a redraw to the 2nd nut flush. Were you afraid someone already made the flush? Or had JT?

If I re-raise the flop, there's a decent chance the turn gets...

Re: Aggression check...A3 sooted

I like the raise PF from that position. It's something I'm just starting to incorporate into my game, if I feel the table is being too passive. I definitely don't limp...raise or fold in that spot.

Re: How to proceed

I bet the flop, expecting MP3 to raise and knock out UTG+2.

When that happens, I'm not sure how to proceed. These are the situations that give me trouble. Since he's passive post-flop, would it be...

Re: Tech question about RAM (mostly OT)

Do you know what "socket" type you've got? Since you've got an Athlon64, you have either a 939 or 754. If it's a 939, you're in luck...dual core Athlon64's should be out before the end of the year....
