Re: 2 AA hands that made me feel like ****

I had a very similar hand to the first one, but with KK. 3 way after raising preflop on button, and the flop was J8x with 2 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif (x being random undercard). 2 checks, I bet,...

I am pretty far from shillxness (Yes, that is what I call the prowess that shillx has for this game), but here is a shot on why you should fold:

You actually laid out most the points...

Re: Paradise 0.5/$1 Full Ring- Hows my line?

Cheers for running the numbers. I put in the actual cards I was up against, and it was pretty much the situation you described with between 20 and 30% PE.

I actually came fairly close to folding,...

Re: Flopped nut flush, in position, being bet into... line?

it would have to be a person, with VPIP between 0-100, and pfr between 0-100. an AF of over 0 would be nice too. oh and only raise if they have TWO cards in front of them.

Re: Flopped nut flush, in position, being bet into... line?

I would have played it the same as you.

One question- what situation (i.e. reads) would you need to raise that flop?

Re: Paradise 0.5/$1 Full Ring- Hows my line?

I really didnt think that I had an edge here (ignore the OP numbers- it was late), on the flop I figured that this was an even EV at best call to make. The deciding factor was the size of the pot-...

Re: Newbie turning coward?

Hand 1) Seeing as you had no reads, I think this is a reasonable fold.
Hand 2) Everytime you fold in this situation, god kills a kitten. Please tell us it was a mis-click...

Re: Paradise 0.5/$1 Full Ring- Hows my line?

I agree with DC- its probably a very close call in terms of EV, but the size of the pot means that I have to play on.

As a side note, I really dont think my pot equity is increased by either one...

Re: I was betting hard but should I have slowed down with 2 others?

No way is your hand good for the full pot here. You are either chopping to one (or even two) others with a Ten, or going down in flames to someone with QT or a rivered boat. Just call the river bet-...

Re: Paradise 0.5/$1 Full Ring- Hows my line?

Thanks for the responses.

I dragged the pot with my weak, weak flush after MP2 showed A /images/graemlins/spade.gif 2 /images/graemlins/club.gif, which really made my heart warm inside. ...

Paradise 0.5/$1 Full Ring- Hows my line?

I’ve just come back to playing low limit HE. Our local casino has finally started dealing hold’em, so I’m just dusting off the cobwebs in my spare time. On a side note, the shape of the 4-8 and 5-10...

From newbie to newbie (at least in terms of 2+2), the best advice I can offer is this- dont post about bad beats.

Are you are really asking whether it was correct to get all your money in as a...

So what you're saying is, I should fold KJo because it isn't good enough here getting 2:1? I don't know nothing about nothing, but against a random hand surely KJo is pretty good?

Re: $2+0 R&A Speed Tourney....risk it for the \'fat cash\'?

I'm not sure from your original post, but has the BB posted the full 100k BB with 3k behind, or have they only posted 3K as the BB?

Considering that 75% of people are at or below 2BB, you have to...

Re: $2+0 R&A Speed Tourney....risk it for the \'fat cash\'?

I doubt whether this is the hand that really matters. Post a few of the hands that saw you get here with less than 1BB behind.

For the record, your filmaff is worth its weight in gold right now.

Re: KQo early on in a $5 + .50

In reading the line, I think you misplayed that. My guess is that he either had 55, 88, or you sucked out when you hit a better 2 pair. Of course, this is a $5, so he could really have anything.
