Re: Rounders Writer to attend STTF-HUC

[ QUOTE ]
At the WSOP this year, whenever we would walk into the tournament room with a bajillion people playing poker, he would hold his arms out and say "you see this... I did this."

Re: wrong to call his push on the flop here?

But you aren't much of an underdog, and have the chance to take him out. I'm not saying to always play a hand like this, just in this instance.

Re: Statistical Proof/Debunking of Peak Hours Advantage- RE:\'s Needed

What does this prove? Some people play better against the weak tight daytime players, and some play better against the crazy drunken late night players. Its more a matter of what style you play....

Re: wrong to call his push on the flop here?

Personally I don't want and FE here. I want all the chips in the middle, especialy against short stack. Is that wrong?

Re: wrong to call his push on the flop here?

Easy call. 12 outs to the nuts so you are getting pot odds. Also, you can afford to lose this and be in good shape, and SB is already out.

Re: oh no, not that river.. what to do? (11\'s)

So lets say you bet 100 and he pushes leaving you with ~350:1400 on a call. Can you really fold there? I couldn't but maybe thats a leak. The 100 blocking bet looks so weak he might bluff at it.

You must check or block bet here. Checking allows Villain to bluff with nothing, block bet allows you to stall A-high but fold to Queens full.

Re: HU hand question

That hand doesn't do well against your estimate of his range. I would only call with that if he was much more aggressive.

You could always drop down to the 33s or 22s. That way your late game advantage would be so large you could pre-flop dump all but AA in levels 1-4 with...

I don't understand. If you just refuse to play AJ then fold it pre-flop. If you can't play it with this flop what the hell are you doing in the hand. You've clearly decided that...

Re: Anybody see this idiot at Resorts EC Saturday night?

Wow! That is just awesome! I can't imagine even being able to play someone like that with a straight face. I think I would bust out laughing every time he put money in the pot.

Re: Post Flop - river call?

I would let it go. I see too many donks that will slowplay a huge hand to the river and win only a tiny pot. The pot just isn't big enough to fight over. If you want us to try and put him on a range,...

I think most players would check raise this river with the nut flush. It's weird that villian came out betting the turn after being raised on the flop, but I still would try and get money in here. If...
