Re: 10/20 (6) Datamine Confusion

I don't think you can draw those conclusions from this sample size

Re: 10/20 (6) Datamine Confusion

I would be surprised if this guy is a long term loser as his stats don't appear to be too far off. I imagine he's not a happy bunny at present though.

Re: damn you, clarkmeister

If you feel you have to call the river bet then betting out is clearly better. However you might be able to find a c/f here given your read. It's disturbing that so many in this thread feel you are...

I really don't like leading the flop here. We're getting raised by a lot of worse hands.

Re: Video TStone coached me on

Cheers for that, it's always useful to see how decent players play a range of hands. Most of it looks pretty standard.

One questionable fold is with Q9s in the SB 3-handed you folded to the...

Re: TT flops set vs. semi-lag blind stealer

The thing is he will likely call a turn bet anyway. If he has JJ QQ and decided to wait to the turn you may well lose a bet by not leading as he might not 3-bet while you of course will.

Re: 25,000 stat check

i think a 30% stealing percentage is fine for 3/6, the blinds are looser so your not going to run people over as much.

Conversley i think both the folded SB and BB are going to be higher than...

Re: A River Fold

with only 30 hands i'd call this it's probably -ev but i don't want to encourage these types of raises heads up against largly unknowns. I think the benefit of slowing down these types of raises...

Re: Flopping a monster, but unsure how to progress......

i like the stop and go, i think there is a good chance that you will get raised again on the turn if opp doen't have the flush draw. If the players caught inbetween will call two 3-bet but even 60...

Re: I really hate hands like this-- please help

It's fine to sometimes bet this it's very difficult for the opponents to call here without a reasonable PP or a q. Overall i think betting the flop and the turn against a late position caller will be...

Re: couldn\'t figure it out...

looks like a slow played set Js possibly 6s or 99. Without a read i don't hate calling here given the odds but at best it's close and probably slightly -ev

Re: 66 in BB, 2 bet to me...

It's unlikely he's played A8 of hearts this way most won't 3-bet this pre-flop unless they are trying to isolate a very loose aggresive UTG. In addition A8s often won't 3-bet the flop neither will 88...

Is 48/12/1.5 really loose-passive? In my mind that is pretty much classified as loose with average aggression preflop, and aggressive postflop. Not exactly the kind of player I want...

Intresting discussion, it sounds to me that you seem to have the right kind of balance already. I agree checking avoids putting yourself in a tricky spot but i don't see that as playing paticularly...

Most of the hands he will be up against, he is roughly 50/50. The change in pot odds for overcards is trivial and unimportant. The most important thing is the initiative and folding out...

Re: Raise PF and check/call it down?

Bet the flop. You have the best hand here quite often despite the large field. If only 1 calls, bet the turn too unless its button and he will bluff anything.

You might spew chips that one hand, but if you show the guy you're not afraid to show-down against him, then he will won't play back at you as hard (if he's sane, that is.)

Re: 99 facing c/r

raising pre-flop does make it harder to win semi favourable flops like this one though as your not going to get as many people folding to a flop bet.

Admittedly raising creates a bigger pot so you...

Re: 99 facing c/r

I don't like this, your BB pre-flop raise presumably was done with the aim of binding players to the pot when you hit a set on the flop, unfortunately what you often end up doing is binding yourself...
