Re: How bad is the rake at pokerroom and skins at $4-$4 NL

All pot- and nolimit games on PokerRoom (and skins of course) have very low rake compared to other sites. The higher you go, the closer it becomes, however (since the average rake at $4/$4 is only...

Re: Biggest poker networks

Well, PokerStars is the second biggest, but no rakeback there. PokerRoom + skins (called the Ongame Network now) is number three, virtually tied with Paradise. Then comes UB, Pacific, Prima pretty...

Re: How tough are the Eurobet games after the Pokerroom merger?

At no-limit and pot-limit PR has likely the lowest rake in the industry. Likewise they have a low rake at very low limit games (but don't go clearing any bonuses there - you'll die of old age before...

Re: WPT Bellagio Tournament Online Qualifiers ANYWHERE?

Eh.. I think you're a tad late, my friend. If I'm not totally mistaken the sites needs to register and pay for "their" players about now, and will of course also have to arrange for your flight,...

No bonus but big tournament overlay

Last Friday PokerRoom.com had a $5 Qualifier to their Grand Tournament V which guaranteed 5 seats (i.e. $5000). It only got around 200 players ($4000 overlay or 400%...). Not sure if they're going to...

Re: Pokerroom gives the colluders a head start tournaments to practice

Very first league (called "Invitational") is starting in 45 minutes. Was supposed to start last night but something didn't fly then... well, PokerRoom added $1,000 or so to the prize pool and...

Re: Pokerroom gives the colluders a head start tournaments to practice

Team here means that its the Team entity that makes the buy-in and receives the payout. So if you suck but the rest of your team rules, you'll be happy. Until you're kicked from the team for sucking...

Re: Pokerroom gives the colluders a head start tournaments to practice

True, that would be a bad idea. The thing here though is that it is one player from each team per table - they are never seated together and thus there can never be any collusion. Having two teams...

Re: Pokerroom review?

Semi-fishy (many weak-tight players), high rake at $2/$4 and $3/$6 limit (although lower than Pacific, I think), low rake at other limits, very low rake at pot- and no-limit games.

Re: Pokerroom gives the colluders a head start tournaments to practice

Could that be that you have no idea whatsoever what you're talking about?

There's no risk for collusion (I'd say it's less risk for collusion in these Team Tournaments than in any other...

Re: Best way to fund Pokerroom?

Of course this depends on what limits / games you play. If you play nolimit or potlimit (like 60% or so of the players on the internet do) the rake is much lower at PokerRoom than other sites (less...

Re: PokerRoom 2/4 SUCKS!

For better or for worse, but you can only get 1.4 points per hand at $2/$4, since the max rake is only $2 there.

Re: Anyone have an idea when you can play real money on your cell phon

Eh.. you've been able to play for real money on PokerRoom via your cell phone for at least 4-5 months... the "play-money-only" was just a beta phase which lasted a few weeks...

Re: What Sites Have High-Limit Hold\'em Action?

PokerRoom.com (and its skins) have limit games up to $500/$1000... not running 24/7, but often enough if you have the stones (and the cash...)

Re: Pokerroom does it again!

Eh.. I read on Pokah (pokerroom forum) that people felt ripped of because they were marketed as "added cash" tournies or whatever... but they're not! They are marketed as massive rebuy-slaughter...

Re: New Pokerroom Rate Structure?

Hmm... they seem to have increased the % but lowered the cap. Since the max cap is still $3 (as previous) but also not more than one big blind this should mean a lower rake at lower limits (where the...

Just spotted something new...

It seems PokerRoom.com has released $200+15, $300+20 and $500+25 SnG's today. They seem to have 2500 as starting stack and are time based (12 minutes) compared to their normal 1500/10 hands. Guess...

Re: Does anybody play Poker on a mobile phone at pokerroom?

Depends on your cell provider. There are a couple who block access to PokerRoom.com - which is why contacting PokerRoom is pretty pointless. Complain to your provider instead...

Yeah, I've got it installed on my phone. It's probably the best Java application for a cell phone ever developed - it's quite amazing. There are however still issues with it - my main gripe is that I...

Semi-spam...?

Don't wanna spam, but pokerroom's finally made their player points worth something. You can trade them in for a bonus that is REAL easy to clear (4pp/$).
