Re: 200NL

I dont like allin on this flop. You will either be drawing dead, or be a slight favorite

Re: I can\'t get away from top set here can I?

Is checkcalling the turn awfull here? (you will then give him the oppurtunity to represent a flush while maintaining potsize. If his bets are not too big you can get a showdown too) I'm really not...

Re: 200NL

He could obviously have anything so you must just try to get some money in there. Since the turn is pretty scary, even to him maybe? I think maybe you could bet something like 35.. because this will...

Re: Weak-tight or well-done? TPTK, NL200

A good player knows better than to build a pot OOP with an underpair to the board against the preflop raiser.

Against an aggressive player at 6max? Sure, I'll do the call down. Against a solid TAG...

Re: floped a set...time to get paid

"hope to get raised"

Dude, this is how a fish thinks. It's passive and it's bad.

The call on the flop is to keep others in the pot.

Re: Weak-tight or well-done? TPTK, NL200

You have no reads and no previous experince with villain.. If he seems Solid TAG a set is his most likely holding.

If I fold the flop I will ofcourse take a note and keep my eye on him, but the...

Re: Are you a nit?

Are you sure?

I have to be honest with myself, I'm becoming more and more cynical in my pokerplay. Ever since I read the "Advise from a MHNL" (I don't remember what # it was, think it was 2) I...

Re: QJ makes nutstraight on the turn with two spades on the board

MP raised allin (That's why the pot is bigger than if he had just called my allin) and the other guy folded.

MP flipped over KQ of spades~~ which actually makes his play through the hand pretty...

Yes, spot on.

Btw, I edited away the other players action but forgot to remove "Final pot" /images/graemlins/smile.gif
The answer is yes...

Re: QJ makes nutstraight on the turn with two spades on the board

If one of them bets, but only 100$, do you call?

Re: QJ makes nutstraight on the turn with two spades on the board

I needed to hear that. About the bet on the turn I thought the raise was to 20 from second villain, so that the re-raise would be 60 to him.. No excuse, I know.

As played do you check-fold the...

Re: Post your best expert play!

I've actually had this happen to me... Guy limps, I raise with AA, he calls. He checkcalls 3/4 on a twoflush flop. He then checks the turn and I bet 2/3 of the pot and he just calls again. The river...

Re: Post your best expert play!

I like to do this too. PArtly because I'm annoyed with the "check-to-the-raiser" trend that seems almost like a rule to some people. So if someone wants to check their TP to me, fine, I take the free...

QJ makes nutstraight on the turn with two spades on the board

I'm in the game because of the BB, he is extremely loose and can also misplace aggression. He is the reason I limped QJo UTG, I wanted to be in as many pots as possible with him. The two guys on my...

Re: Theory Post: Calling minreraises from half-stacks

A minraise can be a good thing. The ol' keep-the-sucker-in fish play can be a good play. But the circumstances must be right.

I.e: You hold AA in the BB and you have a 12BB stack. If someone...

Re: Post your best expert play!

Yes, I got you on the don't-use-same-line-against-thinking-player-every-time.

But I don't aggree that it's good mixing up the check behind turn with TPTK with a line you would take with a...

Re: Post your best expert play!

This is pretty much a standard 2p2 line as far as I know..

I would like to hear a little more about this line from a successful LAG or a TAG who likes to fire two bullets tho. The reason this...

Re: Whats he got?

On the flop it looked like he could have QJs (this looks like a good limping hand mulitway) with a backdoor flush, but he wouldn't have called the turn with that.. A weak king doesn't seem like a...

Re: set on a supa-coordinated flop, deep

I don't get hand 1.. This villain seems so aggro that his hand range is pretty wide. I think the flop call is good, but I would bet the bet the turn (If villain has the flush I think this is better...
