Re: \"Unions are Evil\"
Being the son of a former union organizer, my view may be somewhat skewed. However, this is my opinion:
There WAS a need for unions. The need came because too much "power" was concentrated in...

Re: Hold Em Software
I've use Turbo for limit poker, found it useful. Have only used tournament a couple times, no real opinion, yet. Tried Poker Acadamy Pro for no-limit SNG's, not convinced that it has any...

Re: poker academy pro
My experience with poker acadamy pro is similar. The "players" don't seem to play at all like any I've played online on any site, at any level. Can't relate to live play.

I'm in a similar situation; found that Gaming Club is only one I can use at work. It will error out on loading, then reconfigure and load tables OK. Usually takes it about a minute to go thru this...

Re: Excellent Advice. Just One Thing . . .
Just a couple thoughts from a geezer:
I got a degree some fifteen years later than most. I got it because I found out that I did not know everything (and I still acknowledge this fact).
My...

I'm new here, and haven't played much NL ring, but when I first read this thread, I thought I must be terrible.... I don't think I could have called that raise even on tilt and all previous replies...

Re: Turbo Texas or Turbo Tourney
I have both, but haven't used tourney much. Turbo was great for learning/practicing limit ring games. That's what I'd recommend for limit poker. As always, YMMV.

Re: PokerRoom Weak/Tight (or just scared!!)
Actually, I would have won both pots, but I am REALLY trying to get away from "results" oriented thinking. (I'd have had the nut straight on one hand and jacks full on the other.)
Thanks for the...

PokerRoom Weak/Tight (or just scared!!)
I've been having a terrible time at PokerRoom. Trying to clear a sign up bonus, games seem awfully tight, less than half the hands played at 2/4 qualify for the rake requirement. It's a little...
