[ QUOTE ]
Personally, I like the push and use this move often myself (very rarely getting called and very, very rarly getting called by a hand that is dominating me) )

Re: Stars $22, open raise 77 in LP

Ummmm...this sucks.

I always seem to find a way to lose at least a little chunk of my stack along the way with 66-TT.

I'd really like to see some other posters comment on the PF play. It seems...

Re: What\'s your typical pre-flop line with AK facing a min-raise behind?

I'm just calling a large percentage of the time here..but I'm gonna play devil's advocate.

How about a raise to 550-600? This screams big hand and should give you an accurate read as to where the...

Re: AJs in BB with limpers in middle stages of Party 20

I normally shutter in fear of folks with 2300 in chips who limp for 300, but since he's been making a habit of it, we can't take him seriously.

SB has the chips to complete with any two and muscle...

Re: Can I maximize my value, or am I just asking for trouble?

aggressive player limps from the button and then bets pot when checked to twice...probably has air, maybe a 9.

small blind min-raise is interesting...could be 7T, JT, 8X, 9X

would SB check then...

Re: Hand in Pokerroom 20+2

thanks for the input. No way i fold this pf (set value is just too high).

I ended up betting 250. Check raise did cross my mind, but 20+2 players on this sight are generally weak, and a...

WSOP ME GL

Hello all. Just wanted to wish the 2+2'ers good luck at this years main event. I'm certainly not at that level of play yet (although I doubt 70% of the field is either), but would love to be there. I...

First time poster in this topic. Be nice.

Re: negreanu religious view?

No, I think that most Christians would consider this ignorance rather than disrespect (as I doubt the Jewish publication put him at #6 simply to piss of Christians. Or maybe...)

Re: agression in the stars 500k? thoughts?

The 'levels of thinking' topic has gotten me into trouble many times in the same situation. I'll make the same play (maybe not with 2-4o, but maybe pocket threes or 10-9s) and be thinking there is no...

Re: Three-Table Tourney Help

All the home game tournaments I've been a part of have been the same as you suggested, except I would really consider timed blinds. I have played in 3+ table tourneys that have used both approaches,...

Re: too strong?

This depends on the table action I suppose. If the table has multi-way action when EP player raises 3x BB, then its a definite rereaise. If a late reraising is the norm to early position raiser +...

Re: HOH II Hand Discussion

I do agree that the read on the villan (AQ? TT? in range) is of vital importance.

Re: Why do i continue to do this?

How about a small turn bet, something like 75? Unusual, yes, but this bet can work for you in a few ways

1) He might sense weakness on your part and push his flush draw w/ overcard(s) (not a great...

Re: WSOP $1500NL - Hand vs. Scott Fishman

Maybe I am just naive, but do you really think Fischman would call off what I'm assuming to be 1/5 or 1/6 (the original post said "he had me covered", so I'm assuming by a thousand or two) of his...

Re: WSOP $1500NL - Hand vs. Scott Fishman

I think the very reason you are PC'ed (or very close to it) is the very reason you DON'T call (does that make any sense?) Sure Fischman is an aggressive player who can semi-bluff, but I don't think...

Re: Hand from Quadruple Shootout on PS

I think you should probably start your pushing on the flop, as I don't see him reraising you with a higher flush. A re-reraise on the flop will now give you control of the hand on the turn, where a...

Re: AA v KK bustout and Inflection Points - not Bad Beat Post I swear

1) pots odds not right
2) no implied odds
3) Still 10+ BB left if you fold

I'm not a great player, but I'd have to think I was a good enough player to come back from 100k with blinds 4/8k than...
