Re: $22: Interesting hand, do you call?

You really cannot expect a much better flop than the one you got. I call this push in a heartbeat.

Re: Bad strategy or good?

[ QUOTE ]
I normally dont raise with AJs, but based on the way the others were playing thought it was 50-50 that they would just fold to me...

Then you might just want to raise...

This year I believe you had to be top 20 in a circuit event or the main event (not cetain about the specifics of that though).

Re: Facing a Bubble Push from Short Stack

[ QUOTE ]
This is a Pokerstars $11. At first I thought I had an easy call, but now I am not so sure, especially given the stack sizes.
Blinds are 50/100

UTG ~700
Hero ~2,000
SB ~6,000
BB...

Re: What is he Thinking?

I see these calls on the flop all the time at the 11s. I didn't think players at the 215s would be doing it as well. I truly think that they see your flop push as a blatant steal attempt and they...

Re: Facing a Bubble Push from Short Stack

I got fixated on the possibility that I could be the one to knock out the short stack. I feel that I am generally too tight on the bubble in these situations, where I am in 3rd place and I just wait...

Re: Bubble line

Given the fact that the SB has raised the big stack out of position causes me to fold my A9o in a heartbeat.

Re: 5.50 KK and I\'m a donkey

If you get in the habit of folding your set of Kings in these situations, you are a weak-tight donkey.

Re: AK and SNG\'s, I have alot of questions and no answers.

Stop playing AQo and AJo in the first couple of levels. (Unless your first in from late position.)

I'm surprised this hasn't been said yet, but...

how the hell do you have the 50 minutes straight to play a SNG at work? What do you do? Are you of any value to your company? (?????)

Re: Was this a stupid call?

I like shoving on a flop with my draws, not calling an all-in. Big difference!

Pushing the flop in level 1 with middle pair? What's your rush?

Re: frustration - LC/NC

That's why I can't stand playing $11s at Party, where you start with 800 chips. It's a couple of levels of folding and then shoving all-in with the first decent hand you see in level 3. Bah!...

Re: hand three, what do you do?

I don't like the idea of playing AKo in a 4-way pot. Push and then double up against 88 when your K hits on the flop. See how easy that was?

Re: ($22) Stop N Go here?

I really prefer to stop and go with a pocket pair and not a weak Ace. I've seen many a big stack call my post flop pushes with their AK or AQ overcards, so if they do that to you, you are in deep...

Wow! Phil was beaten by a two-outer on the turn. I bet that has never happened to him (or anyone else) before. No wonder he wrote an article about it! /images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Re: ($22) Spot for a stop n go?

If you don't have any fold equity against the raiser pre-flop, you certainly are not going to have any post-flop, given your relative stack sizes. Push pre-flop and hope you get called.

Re: Multi-way pot with a flopped straight-flush draw

That flop isn't nearly as strong as one might think. However, it is a scary flop for others, so a push MIGHT just take it down on the flop.

Re: Stealing blinds

If a bigger stack is always raising your blinds from late position, you need to take a decent hand and reraise him all-in, not merely call and hope you hit the flop. That usually slows 'em down.
