Re: My weakness...middle pairs

If he has reasonable raising standards, I think you're an underdog on the flop. If you want to take a shot at it, take the lead so you can fold early to a raise and save some bets. I think a Kx...

Re: Aggression level on Aces

Thanks for the advice. I'll usually sit at either a .02/.04 or .05/.10, whichever seems like a softer table. I haven't seen much difference between the two really, but I'm currently doing better at...

Re: Aggression level on Aces

Survey says: too cold.

I'm not going to argue with that. I've got to admit, from the PF cap and onward into the turn I was sure that I had this guy on KK or QQ and I was going to take down a...

Re: TT multiway

If you'd feel comfortable laying down to a raise, then bet the river. Otherwise, check/call is good. What you don't want to do is bet the river and call a raise.

If you're behind, both...

Re: last one tonight, completely lost

It improves his hand, not necessarily his overall chances to win. (I think that's what you're talking about.)

Re: last one tonight, completely lost

I think you're stuck in that pot even though you don't like it. Flop has many outs, Turn is TPTK, River improves you to highest two pair with top kicker. IMO the pot is large enough that folding...

Re: AKs played wrong?

I don't see anything wrong about it.

Leading the turn would have saved you a bet when you were behind, but it would have cost you one when you're ahead. And I think you're usually ahead here.

Re: Pocket Pairs (KK) - I\'m Totally Clueless

I like your play through the flop. I think you want to see a cheap showdown here if you don't meet with much resistance, and if you don't raise the flop, you'll have to call all the way. Plus if...

Thanks for the comments so far. They are appreciated!

One thing that I like about poker is that there are often compelling arguments for different plays and I like your different perspectives.

New poster - QJo feedback wanted.

Hi I'm new to the 2+2 forums and pretty new to Hold'em. I've been playing for a couple of weeks at the Poker Stars .2/.4 and .5/.10 tables.

I'm trying to learn how to tune up my game, and I'm...
