If I get you right, then the probability of flopping an open-ended straight draw is only in these instances:

4, 5, not(3 or 8)
5, 8, not(4 or 9)
8, 9, not(5 or T)...

Does it differ MUCH from other connectors like 65 or T9?

There is much written about SB play heads-up: It pays to be agressive because 1. you rise for value and 2. you can steal the BB.
However from the BB, I think it is correct to rise after a limper...
