Re: I\'m a dumb liberal

Someone said that conservatives are practical, rather than idealistic. I'd suggest that the opposite generalization would be truer; we conservatives tend to adhere to certain principles (EG...

Re: When is Washington going to get real and cut medicare?

The 2004 US Federal budget deficit was 412 billion dollars. The 2005 deficit is projected to be 331 billion.

If you are a conservative/republican, I'd love to hear your thinking about why your...

Re: did I SPEW?

You're not spewing. Villain's river donk (coupled with flop and turn play) screams bluff. He had AK, AQ or KQ or a set and didn't raise the flop or turn with straight AND flush draws out against...

Re: Broke my cherry on this one

I've played these games as well. It's okay not to ram-jam 100%. No need to [censored] where you eat for a fraction of a bet's worth of value.

Actually you have the 4th nuts. 44, KK and K9 are all ahead of you.

Re: BK and I disagree

This is a check and it's nowhere close.

You can't lose a flush draw or straight draw (both of which you'd like to see fold), an overpair and/or a 4 will certainly checkraise you and a 5 may also,...

I agree that he should call, but how many outs do you think he has if villain holds AJ? How about against AT?

Answer: <font color="white">zero outs to win in both cases, and 2 and 5 to tie,...

What is the general concensus for good PT stat ranges? I only bought PT a couple weeks ago, and now I'm trying to get a fix on how to use it best. I'm playing 2/4 at the moment, mostly because I'm...

Re: have 100 bucks, need help gtting started

Never play a $5 sit-and-go. The rake will eat your soul. Nobody will be able to hear you scream.

Re: A Texas Hold \'Em game with two jokers in the deck

Actually if he pairs his non-joker card, he would have trips, not two pair. Probably someone has pointed this out already.

Re: Call the River?

No, for one bet you shouldn't. The prospect of sympathy chips along with the hundreds-to-one shot that your opp will show you 44 makes this a call.

Re: Party 15. Bet this River?

You don't think he gets a call from a lone Ace? I think he not only gets the call, I think he gets shown it (along with 33 or 44 often enough to make it a value bet).

Re: Party 15. Bet this River?

Bad plan (unless he weirdly turns into a folding station postflop if he misses). Fold this crap and move on.

Re: BB flops top two... 15/30

Do you have any hands against this guy? He's giving an awful lot of action, especially if you think he has a hand you can beat.
