Re: 100 NL- Enough information to lay down AA?
[ QUOTE ]
I ran a few situations through Poker Stove... here are some conclusions, assuming the previously mentioned aces and flop:
(1) AA vs. two random hands: AA~67% win
(2) AA vs. two pocket...

Re: 100 NL- Enough information to lay down AA?
Easy fold for me. One of them has a set. Even if you dont have much of a read on your opponents the betting indicates that one of them has you beat. If it turns out that you would have won the...

Re: betting
I have a standard raise, but I will change it up depending on how many people limped in front of me.

Re: Am I correct to slow-play here?
I did not see that there were two clubs on board. You are not going for a redraw to the nuts, you are on a draw to the nuts. I still bet it though. You want the people drawing to a smaller flush...

Re: A Qs-hand.
You are gettin 3.5 to 1 on your money so I think you have to make the call. If he slow played a set then you have to pay him off. It sucks but I would call.

Re: Am I correct to slow-play here?
This may be just me, but I never slow play TPTK. The hand is not all that strong against three players. I raise and try to get heads up in this situation. TPTK in a 4 way pot rarely holds up, but...

Re: Poker fad has reached its peak
With World Poker Tour 2k6, and Stacked (or whatever that Daniel N. game is) coming out soon, I don't see the poker craze will die down soon. Software developers are targeting kids who in ten years...

Not too mention your preflop call was completely idiotic but hey it worked out this time.

Re: Bad play or Good play
Yes you got lucky. Aces were still the favorite there by around 58%. It would have been a little different if you were open ended straight flush. The guy with Aces bet enough that it didn't give you...

Re: 1 year as an underage player
What are you spending all that money on? I can't imagine you have many bills, so you must have a lot of toys, or you're keeping it as a bankroll.

Re: Unbelievable odds. Trillion to one?
Hmmm, the odds don't seem to be favorable for that happening. This sort of reminds me of the time I saw a guy hit a Royal Flush in the final table of a big MTT. Five hands later he hit another...

Re: Quick, easy PT stats check.
I'm actually going to wait until I have 2k to move up. I currently have just over $1,500. My plan is that if I drop back under $1,800 I will drop back down to $25nl, but I hope that doesn't happen....

Playing Short Stacks?
I recently started playing on Ultimate Bet and noticed players love to buy into $25nl games with short stacks. Instead of coming in the games with $25, they will buy in for $5 or $10. It didn’t...
