Re: AA vs Q4

[ QUOTE ]
Why did he call my raise pre-flop?

[/ QUOTE ]
Because you only raised the minimum and there was already a fair amount of money in the pot?

Re: Deep stacks, can I push?

Unless you can see him checkraising the turn with K9 or AK, you're only behind one hand. Based upon your description of him I'd push and expect to see two pair or a lower set.

Re: Would you make this call

[ QUOTE ]
How likely is it that he has a two in his hand. He was fourth to act preflop so if he has a two it has to be ace two (suited) or 2 3 (suited). For him to limp and then call the raise. Im...

Re: Would you make this call

If that was the actual flop, then yes, it's possible he could be calling with a 2 given the pot odds calling frenzy your raise created.

Re: TT . Called a raise in MP preflop.

[ QUOTE ]
I just couldn't figure out why he would bet $25 into a $10 pot.

[/ QUOTE ]
That's probably why he did it.

Re: T9o from CO flops top 2

Make it $25. Fold to a push from anyone other than BB or UTG+2.

most of the losing hands saw me getting the opponents allin on the flop when 80/20 fav. The problem is getting turned over by calling gutshots who hit the turn and followup with a "lol"....

Obvious call.

Re: TT heads up, KK6 flop

...fold, because he has AK and is hoping you have the case K with the lower full house?
If you're playing TT for more than set value, I think you need to raise this flop to see where you're at.

Re: Quick Question

Even if he has AQh, it's still EV+ to call if you believe you have the best current hand due to the money already in the pot. As he won't always have a two overcard flush draw, calling is EV+ if...

whats my play?

[/ QUOTE ]
Let me get this straight, as I don't quite understand. You're "99% sure" that you have the best hand, and you're wondering whether you should call an all-in?

Re: Folding the nuts... would you... ?

Why would you not slowplay an Ace-high nut-flush on no-limit???

You'll get paid off by someone thinking "Why would he not slowplay the Ace-high nut-flush on no-limit???".

Re: Deepstack, second nuts, huge bet

I would fold here. A huge overbet from someone who's "quiet" and waiting for an opportunity to "get you back" on this sort of board in an unraised pot is almost always the nuts. I'd be very surprised...

Re: Butchered hand with short stack?

I think it was a mistake to raise that hand preflop in that position.
I think it's also a mistake to only bet $25 into a $90 pot on a good flop. It makes it difficult to define what hands CO and...

Re: Horrible Play turned out to be profitable two hands vs same villian

Your horrible play is pretty much irrelevant to what happened in hand 2.

Re: folding K high flush

The minbet-reraise on this kind of flop generally suggests two pair or a set, so the combination of the board pairing and a turn checkraise makes this a good fold on your part.
