Re: And the Winners Are

Too sophisticated for a beginner's book!? Do you realize that the cover is practically the only thing that sells a book to someone that knows very little about Hold'em? They can't tell the difference...

Re: Final Consensus on SuperSystem2

Mkay, well you can dance around this all you want but, as I'm sure you well know, the only thing your books have ever been criticized for is language-related. So, I find it ironic that this is what...

Re: sklansky on decreasing marginal chip value

Um... it is true that he says chips have a decreasing value, but that's not why he says not to take close gambles. You don't take close gambles in a tournament because, if you have like a 54-46 edge...

Re: Do you really need to have Understood TOP to understand SSH

Um, no. The concepts you need from TOP are discussed in SSH and how they apply to these types of games. The majority of TOP is aimed at players who play against people who have read and understand...

Re: Final Consensus on SuperSystem2

I think there's a blood clot somewhere in his brain that prevents him from seeing how ridiculous he sounds. Just open up a "For Advanced Players" book to page 9, then reread his replies, then do it...

Re: I have Super System 2, should I get SS1 too?

Re: SSHE or HEFAP when moving up limits???

First, scout the games you'll be playing in. If the players are still loose-passives who are calling too many hands before the flop and going to the river with them, then HEPFAP won't be of much use....

Re: My next books?

I think you're good to go as long as you plan on staying at these limits. You can pick up Theory of Poker if you want, but the stuff in it that was not in SSH isn't likely to help you much in...
